Discussion

#9 & #10 -- I want to stay away from any sort of "cartoonish" look, and don't want to feature a character.

#8 is a better direction. I had initially considered using shapes or silhouettes of a cow, goat and sheep (the three milks for the cheeses I will sell), so I kind of like the silhouette of the cow. Is there any way to incorporate all three animals without making the logo way too busy? Is there a way to give it a little bit more of a "vintage" feel? Also think I would rather have the "h" in whey as a solid letter versus the star.

Thank you!

I really like the latest version -- GREAT work on incorporating the feedback.

I've also been re-evaluating your initial submission (#8). I think the rays on the sun are throwing me off a bit (feels a little tropical versus farmstead to me, maybe?). What if you tweaked that image...? What about just the half moon shape with no rays, or a rolling pasture instead, or a barn with a silo instead of a cow, etc.? And what about keeping the stacked words but tweaking the font a bit? I don't want to over-direct (so please use your creativity), but I'd be interested in seeing a second/revised version of this submission.

Thank you.

Hi -- I'm still most interested in #16. While I really like the incorporation of the goat image into the cow, a few people who have looked at it don't see the two images, and just see "funny spots" on the cow. A few people also have asked me about a sheep -- since I will be selling cheeses from cow, goat and sheep milk.

Can we try a couple variations on the image in logo #16? For example, solid black cow/white background, solid white cow/black background, some other combo of animals, a graphic farm image versus animal image, and any other combinations you can dream up? I also wonder what a different cow outline would look like, maybe something with a more defined/recognizable outline? And what about changing up the font, for Southern Whey -- just to see something different? I'm not sure I'll like any of these variations better than your original, but would like to see some options before the end of the contest.

Also, instead of "EAST. 2012" it should be "EST. 2012."

And lastly, if I select one of your logos do you do graphic design work outside of logotournament.com so I could continue to work with you on different applications/iterations of the logo?

Thank you...
