Hello,

I added the yellow, to make the bolt stand out more. I am keeping the logos to simple 2 or 3 color, so that it can be screen printed without any problem. Please leave feed back, even if it's to say that this is not the direction to go. Since we do not have a one on one contact with the client, any feedback helps in ensuring you get the perfect logo.

Thanks!

I want the words South FLorida Lightning as a separate piece for front of jerseys and incorporating a "bolt" into the font. South Florida can be minimized with respect LIGHTNING. Need a baseball with lightning bolt creatively joined/integrated/attacking the ball, etc. That's what I am thinking.

Hello,

Can we add gradients or will the logo be used for screen printing? Also, should I not include the yellow and keep it to just a two screen job?

Night Owl,
You are coming up with great ideas. I think we leave out the yellow. We will use screen printing as well as twill for the jerseys (embroidered). The three colors of Carolina Bule, black and white will be fine I think. I like #16 too, maybe a more contemporary font - edgier. I know I continue to use that word, but it really describes attitude. Gradients are good. We're thinking going from lower left to upper right on a slight diagonal.

Hi Todd,

Thanks for the for the feedback. I'll try some font options. I figured the logo would be screen printed and/or embroidered, so we really need to stay away from fine lines, screens, and gradients. Unfortunately, the gradients may look nice, but they become costly and many vendors will not be able to do the job. We constantly run into clients that come to us for shirt, caps... and their artwork cannot be replicated. (My wife runs the advertising specialty side of our business, which includes screen printing and embroidery.)

As for the embroidery, you will run into digitizing costs and charged based on "stitch count". Keep in mind that embroidery requires that the artwork not have thin lines and gradients and screens are practically prohibitive.

Thanks and I'll rework some ideas. Do you have an idea, if the contest will run the full amount of time? I usually only join these contests towards the end to avoid my concepts from being copied. (And yes, I've had contests end early and before I had a chance to get the entries in :(

Thanks and I look forward to doing some more designs.

I had not seen your comments until just now. Comments left on the contest page, does not get to us. If you post directing to a particular designer, it is best to do it here in the individual designers designers discussion. When you comment here, we receive an email. You can simply click any design and it taks you to their comment area.

#44 Night Owl,
Can you please make the stitches on the baseball red. We like this concept very much. We'll be making a decision here pretty soon and you certainly have some good ideas.
