SOS ChocolateLogo Design Contest

update to family design

this design represents the family business, you (left) mother (centre) sister (right)

it occurred to me that I was emphasizing the wrong letter.

The letter O is the odd character and to visually make a brand statement. The Letter O must be similar to the other letters but different is style and aspect.

I luv this design!

I've not changed the font. instead edited the ends of both letter S. More rounded.

The first letter S is sun it represents swirls of chocolate

I'll look a new font however it will drastically alter the appearance of the design and I need ot be careful not to come too close to another desiger's work.

I agree 100% SOS has to be readable that has to be priority for any designer.

We like this circle and the brown color you chose! The font on the chocolate is perfect! We are just thinking about the SOS. We wanted something between fun and modern. One of our founders thinks the font on SOS has a "brazilian marriage invitation envelope" style (lol), she doesn't like that part. She liked the logo that finished second too, but it didn't have readability and you are a better designer.
What do you suggest for us on the SOS?

Do you brand your own chocolate line?

I agree my design is more classic yet is has a beauty to to it, feminine yet not girly. If I am looking for chocolate as a gift tere are 2 important things I look for

1. Quality has to be the best of the best

2. the branding logo packaging this i important to make a good impression.

If kid friendly and fun is the goal you are after then a rounded cartoon style is perfect.

I've added the drop effect to the O and S

the design works placed inside a circle and I did not need to adjust the SOS height. the only chge is the lower line is not required as it woudl be to short and look out of place.

No worries, the design can be reduced in height without losing its appeal, I can re work this one but it will be in the morning my time.

We wish you could look at our actual logo (soschocolate.com.br) and see that we may be doing a big migration from our playfull logo to this one, that is serious and classic. It may be a big change for us... There is one logo on our rank that is round that is between modern and pop! We could use it in stickers and patterns and so on.. And your logo is a bit more serious and classic, although is too well done! This one is a perfectly beautiful logo! We love it, but our question is about the change we are doing, from pop to classic....
Because you did so many logos and is so talented we are sure you are already on the final phase! That's it.. we are here full of questions... So sorry for our bad briefing, but you are helping us so much! Thank you very much!

Hey Scott! I'm sorry! We like the #193, but #191 was the best overall for us! We may have ranked it wrong.
But instead of the drop effect we prefer something more symbolic and maybe less subtle, as you did on the first island logos... Instead of an island, maybe a cocoa, a heart... Feel free to do your great drawings! Thanks!!

You ranked this design #191 in position 17 were you referring to #193 current ranked 4th? I can easily translate the drop effect between the O and S as in #193 to this design

Hey Scott! Congratulations for being one of the finalists! You're a great designer! And this was the logo that you did that we like the most! We jut have a few comments:
Maybe we could try some detail in red on that logo? Just for having a secondary color, that creates the sense of emergency... what do you think? (we like it injust brown too, but just to see some other option)
The other comment would be that your drawings are great! That other logo you did with the island and the waves is so well designed, we love it(!!), but it just doesn't fit the chocolate idea... We wish to see some drawing like that, but more to do with chocolate... What do you think?

I've used the negative space between the O and S to form a smooth chocolate drop

the reversed S is done on purpose

the color I've selected for these new submissions is a deep rich mauve.
