Babo, I like the movement in this, and its simplicity...and the fact that it is not square. Ditch the lion and try a simple thistle. Or let's see what the maple leaf looks like with the red outline and a yellow fill.

#49-52 good colours, good form my wish would be a thistle integrated into the maple leaf. this picture mark needs to be unique and playful. can you continue integrating the thistle into the maple leaf? I like the yellow fill. i would like the thistle to be an idea rather than a realistic rendering--make it more iconic, symbolic, simple. Perhaps reverse (white) into the leaf? keep playing with it!
the leaf inside the leaf looks somewhat "thistley"--maybe exaggerate that idea!
with a more simple, refined and unique picture, we can then replace the typeface for the tagline with the same typeface you have used for the name.
I like how this is evolving. It has uniformity, as you said. It has all 3 colours. It is somewhat playful, while retaining the strength and sophistication in the name via the typeface.
Can you simplify the leaves in the thistle? I want to give it some streamlining, some smooth lines.
Try making the picture bigger in relation to the name. If you can give it some room, how would shadowing look? This would give it more motion, more of 3D. Depending on how it would reproduce in black and white.
