Soaring with AngelsLogo Design Contest

#3 - I very much like the idea of a logo that is easily recognizable and distinguishable from other, once people see it a few times. I'm not sure if the abstract inverted pyramid in the design is intentional, but I like the idea of it. The fonts are quite nondescript - I would like to see a font that embodies the essence of what SWA represents. I am drawn to the simplicity of the color scheme...

Thank you - both "Soaring" and "Angels" are equally important and should be equally prominent.
Also, visually, how can we "ground" the figure to give it an earthly connection?

Hello,
I would like to propose some modifications to you design:
--can you introduce a grounding feature? Something that "roots" the figure to the earth.
--can you introduce a funnel cloud of white light (tornado-like) that descends from the heavens into the crown of the figure's "head"?
I like the abstract nature of the design a lot, but I'm also looking for a little more.

Very nice.
--Can you keep the white halo-ed light restricted to that area so it does not impact the deep blue of the background?
--Can you introduce some subtle colors to the globe below to highlight the earth?

I like the changes to the light from the heavens.
The earthly-connection does not feel right to me. I'm not sure how this can be made better. Do you have any ideas?
