Thanks for sharing your design - and nice work! I like the use of the compass for the letter 'S'. It helps convey a sense of geo-targeting, which is actually an important part of our long-term offering. When development is complete, consumers will be able to enter a zip code and get a breakout of the relative natural disaster risk in their area (e.g. if a consumer lives in a zip code that's on a flood zone, the kit will include items to help survive floods. A different consumer living in an adjacent zip code that's on higher ground would recive a similar kit but without the flood survival items.) That's the smart part of Smart Survival Kits.
A few comments...
1) Overall, the design looks a little dated. There's probably an opportunity to make it more contemporary by using different iconography - especially for the compass portion of the logo.
2) The compass icon looks a bit cluttered right now (e.g. the East arrow is interfering with the rest of the design). Can we consider removing the East arrow or rotating the design of the compass so that North is around the 10 o'clock position? Just my suggestions. Feel free to troubleshoot as you best see fit.
3) The upper portion o the logo looks a little monochromatic, which I think limits appeal. While I don't want something colorful, I also don't want to go single color. Can you try using two colors or even different shades of the same color?
4) Font size of 'Survival Kits' is too small. I'd like 'Smart' to be prioritized, but not that extreme.
Hope that helps! Thanks a ton!
