This is a very pretty feminine design. I especially like Entry #7 and #5. Can you take that feminine design feel and add mushrooms and perhaps other vegetables? Also, somehow add a shade of purple? Thanks, Debra
I can continue to add other types of plants..let me know what others you want.I am trying to stay with simple shapes and also not visually over work the design. Soft colors that compliment each other.
The style can change as well as the type of line...such as converting to brush stroked lines like in my other entries with the mushroom outlines.
If you see any style you like in my portfolio that would help steer me in the right direction.
Sorry! I responded to your comment in my g-mail account yesterday, so no wonder you didn't receive it! Can you please make the following changes to #17 and #18:
1. I am not growing flowers and would prefer to include the items I am producing/selling. My fruits are strawberries and peaches. My vegetables are: asparagus, green and yellow beans, squash, all salad greens, tomatoes, kale, sweet potatoes, broccoli. 2. My main product is mushrooms. Can you please make them more prominent in both entries? 3. Can you attempt to add the slogan "one-woman farm"? I am not sure it will work, but let's try. Thanks, Debra
Sending message from phone my internet service is being changed so today I'm without service for my computer hope it is on soon since it is a holiday weekend. I will upload asap, in the meantime will work on these for you so they are ready for when I can upload the file
The illustration if not careful could get visually overloaded or busy so I selected based on color and balance and near accurate proportion. The make the mushrooms prominent and so they don't get lost in the wheel barrow I stacked them on your name.
it's late now so I will check back tomorrow. Most of the day I will be away but will check in.
Hi Tere - In terms of how the logo will be used - biz cards, stickers for jam jars (so likely two white backgrounds), eventually a web site - do you think the "table' makes more sense than the wheelbarrow? The wheelbarrow continues to be my first choice but I'm not sure how it will show up. Please give me your practical advice on this. Thanks, Debra
Just had another set of eyes take a look and we prefer the first wheelbarrow, #17. Can you change the flower to a yellow squash, the grapes/apple to a peach, tomato or another mushroom and also add in "One-Woman Farm" in print rather than script? Thanks, Debra
Here's one where I took the vegetables off the table and out of the wheelbarrow and nestled them individually the letters of your name to maintain interest and eye movement in the design.
Let me know if there is anything else you would like to see.
I will check back in the morning and then will be away in the afternoon
Hi Tere - #17 is one of my favorites. I prefer it over the wheelbarrow in #43 which is a little too crowded. Can you do the following:
1. Add "One-Woman Farm" under Sloane Farm. Can you do one in script and one in print? Maybe this is good spot for a shade of purple. 2. I do have flowers, though not for sale, so the sunflowers are okay and a nice element. I don't have grapes and do understand you added them for the purple...I don't have eggplant either...:). Can you substitute any one of the following for the grapes: asparagus, yellow or winter squash, sweet potato, salad greens. 3. Can you make the mushrooms larger? I am okay with having just a few above Sloane Farm rather than many as in #33. Perhaps put a few more underneath the vine and to the right of the strawberries on the wheelbarrow? Thanks, Debra
These have taken me a lot longer than I thought it would to illustrate ..but here they are.
2 questions...you never said anything about the carrots...do you want them in the design? and notice the color of the greens in one and compare to the other...do you what them darker or lighter?. I added asparagus also if you see anything on the overlapping parts that don't look like I may need extra eyes if something is behind another object that needs to be in front.
I apologize...didn't see your question...it may have been when the server was off and I was posting the comments through the phone.... In regard to your question as to the table or the wheelbarrow...I think either one will work on various applications including your labels... if needed you could always print on a basic printer to size of the stickers and tape it on the jar to see what it will look like. Other type on your sticker that is needed can be easily added later. Also, you may want to use both ...card, website, stickers signage etc. you may want the table on one application and the wheelbarrow for the other.
Anyway because of the veggies and fruit on one are the same on the other they both would be yours. If you choose one those files will be uploaded into your LT account for your approval and then afterwards the other file formats will be emailed to you afterwards.
I will check back in the morning...as we approach Wed. through Sat. I will be available only in the evenings but I will check in the mornings for your comments.
So you know because of the colorful design rather than many spot colors, these will print in 4 color process or CMYK or on smaller printing in 3 colors of RGB which the colors in some cases are more vibrant. If you ever embroidery it can be simplified in fewer colors. If needed in black and white it will basically need to be grays and black outlines etc.
Hi Tere - Thank you for providing so many options! I have six people on my Advisory Board and all prefer the table to the wheelbarrow. I have selected these people carefully, and am committed to listening to them, so I want to work on the table with you rather than the wheelbarrow. The purple table looks great! It really makes the design pop. I have looked at many other farm logos and there appears to be a prevalence of circles encompassing the design. I think my final decision will be which style to go with, open or encircled. One final grammar update: Please put a hyphen between One-Woman. Thanks! Debra
Hi Debra, I need to log off now...but will send you also the wheelbarrow with the revised tag line and even a circle around it when I return if you like. Because the veggies and fruit are illustrated for you specifically with the wheelbarrow is yours also. But whichever design you select in your LT account it will the the primary design for you to approve when the time comes. Even after the selection it will take me some time to prep the files for you. I am sure that each evening this week I will be available to continue working on what you need. Tomorrow through Friday I will be away during the day.
I just had some friends take a look at #68 - which remains my first choice - and the suggestion was to use some more interesting fonts. We were looking at this site: http://www.creativebloq.com/graphic-design-tips/best-free-fonts-for-designers-1233380 and liked #16, 22, 26, 28 as examples. Also, please have a hyphen between one-woman and not between woman and farm. Can you also work on a deeper purple, or perhaps an indigo for one-woman farm?
Sure, I will work on this tomorrow for you. I will look into the fonts...I use fontsquirrel to guarantee that the fonts are commercial free license. Not all fonts are and I see some on this right at a glance where the name is different from a copyrighted font. so let me investigate some that are similar that I know you will be able to use. Also...it is important that the font remain simple or it will be lost with the details in the illustration. Your name is the most important for the reader/viewer to remember at a glance either in signage or advertisement..the illustrations part of the logo supports your name. Too often the view remembers the story but can't remember who the story belongs to.
I will see what I can do on this and send some to you tomorrow...actually in the morning I will be working in my garden :-)
I will send you several options on new fonts as well as the deeper purple on your tag line...also I was thinking that the same color table creates needed contrast and depth with the vegetables and fruit...
