Yes, but keeping everything inside the outer white border red and making the larger background outside the border white or another color. I’m thinking about being able to put the logo both on white paper and on blue paper.

I like how the bottom of the K turns into the border. How about making the thin white line a second (outer) border around the entire square. Leaving the color inside the outer border, and showing the whole thing on a white background.
