I wanted to design a simple and memorable logo. I chose to emphasize the type of photography you do by doing an illustration of a German Shepherd and a little girl. I felt combining the two, big dog with little girl. made for nice contrast and felt like a composed photo. I hope you like it.
I'm not sure what type of pose you would like to see. Any suggestions? Is there a site where I can see your photos/work to get a feel of your style? Do you do more staged poses or candid shots? My initial thought was to create an icon resembling a photo that told a story (in the imagination of the viewer - a candid shot if you will.) But if your specialty is posed or portrait photos, then I can do something more along those lines. Sorry for all the questions, but because these require a bit of time to draw, I want to be sure it's what you might need.
My website is still under construction but I do have a facebook page Kristan Gore Photography. Most of my photos are candid and some posed. I wish I had more suggestions! I hope this helps and if you are unable to do any other designs thats ok :) I really like the ones that you have already done.
Thanks for getting back to me, I'll check it out. The logo will become your brand so it's important that it reflects your business and is unique AND memorable. I'll see if I can draw some other ideas from the Facebook page.
On another note, since I was thinking of trying this: Can I ask about the name Skeeter Bug? Because a skeeter is usually either, a water strider or short for mosquito, which of the two do you refer? Either one would have to be abstract, but might be worth a shot. I can do a generic looking insect, but I'd have to make sure to not make for create any confusion (like doing a green cat for a company called Black Rhino - LOL) Anyway it was just a thought.
I'll try to get a few more ideas and variations tomorrow.
Initially I was doing a drawing of a boy but since I felt the it would be more dramatic to show a large dog with a little girl, I chose to draw the girl. This is so funny. I had no idea that the dog I did resembled your dog and was even more surprised to see that you have two very lovely daughters and the young one with skirt and ponytails. :D
BTW - May I have your permission to use the photo of your dog for this contest (this contest only). We are only allowed to use photos for reference if the CH owns the photos with full rights and if we have their permission. Your dog is a stunning and I thought maybe I can can create something with him. Please let me know, or if you suggest another photo that I can try, that'll be great too.
Yes you are more than welcome to use the photo on my facebook page :) Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my facebook page to get inspiration.
