Thank you for your entries, Dotwoman.
I plan on launching a new website and new, higher prices with the new logo and I'll be targeting a higher-end market. I like your work but I'm looking for a much simpler logo - the focus being the name Sinya (lowercase), with a very deconstructed idea of the tent roof and the creek below. I'd like the logo to evoke luxury, but simple, natural luxury - with the slightest romantic notion of "Out of Africa" adventure. and if you can get "on Lone Man Creek" fit in there that would be great.

You're definitely going in the right direction. (#14)
I don't know if the roof thing is going to work - can we try to maybe stretch it out, deconstruct it even more (please see the logo for this site:http://www.thecrossingsaustin.com/index.php it takes a second for it to appear, but I like deconstructed "pathway" above the name), and somehow place it behind the name? Maybe if you put little flags at the the upper apexes (points) of the tent - it'll look more like a tent roof than a mountain top.
Can you give me examples of different fonts, please - where the "y" and the "a" don't seem more pronounced than the "sin"?
I really appreciate all your work!

thank you so much for your excellent feedback and direction. I will submit more variations. I live in the Texas Hill Country so I am very excited about this contest... I will do my best to give you exactly what you want.

#35 - I like the look of the tent roof a lot more - it seems to be done kind of "free hand" - I think that's what I've been looking for. Please, if you can give me about 6-10 font variations - lower case, upper case, mixed.
I'd really like the logo to evoke a sense of the adventure of a luxurious African safari, the natural gorgeousness or our Texas Hill Country, and simple luxury.
As you can see if you've visited my website, its a very, very unique property. It sits above the trees. Past guests' comments have been: Sinya has all the comfort and amenities of a five-star hotel; they feel as though they were suspended in a nest, cocoon, or even a womb. When the windows are open, there is always a constant, gentle breeze that bathes guests while they sleep. The water and water fall in the creek is calming, but energizing at the same time. Wildlife abounds and there are dozens of types of birds that visit the sanctuary that is just off the veranda.
So, to recap, I'd really like the logo to covey, as simply as possible, the feelings that Sinya evokes, more than the images of where it's at.
You are welcome to include, or exclude, any of the aspects (tent roof, water, etc) you'd like if you feel you can convey the above ideas in a better way.
THANK YOU! for your hard work, it's truly appreciated!

thank you, Sinya, for your wonderfully detailed feedback. I hope some day I can visit your property! I grew up in Fredericksburg and currently live in Kingsland, between the Colorado and Llano rivers and I love the Texas Hill Country. I will work very hard to capture what you have described so well...
