Hello,

Here is the design idea I came up with for the Simone Awards, after reviewing your site and all of the information about them. The main portion of the shield is meant to represent Tommy's #73 as you would see it on his Raiders jersey. I then added a professional ribbon for the slogan, and paired that with a strong athletic font for the main text of "SIMONE AWARDS". I will see what other layouts and variations I can come up as well and post more of them as I progress.

Take a look and let me know your thoughts in terms of color and content, and I will be happy to provide revisions as requested. Thanks!

P.S. - What a great way to recognize young, potential talent and honor one (Tommy) forever. There are some impressive names on that list! Sproles & Betts jump out at me initially as having recent NFL success, and I know there are others as well.

And here is an alternate option, with a "TS" monogram included at the top. (I noticed you were wanting to explore ideas with his initials as well.)

Here is another possible idea: having an icon that can stand on its own, as well as a wordmark that can stand on its own. This way, you potentially have 3 logos in one! (The icon, the words and the 2 of them together as one.)

The icon would work great as patch, letterhead, etc. for when the entire logo isn't as applicable. And then wordmark could also be used without the icon for things such as titles, web banners, etc.

Same design, but without the # 73 included (just so you can see which you prefer).
I also wanted to show how cool it would look on a blue or red website background... ;)

WOW! that is some great work. At first look I like #13. I would like to see some design ideas with his first name if possible.

Tommy Simone Awards

Thomas A. Simone Awards

Thank you for sharing you kind words nd thoughts.

Here is a revised entry, per your requests. I think it might be smart to include the full name in the design--if it feels too busy, you can always revert back to the other wording. I decided to go with Tommy's full name, rather than "Tommy" as that seems to be how the award is always labeled, but let me know if you wish to see a version with Tommy as well and I will get it ready. Thanks!

Here is a new design I came up with, where everything is contained within the strong emblem/crest shape. Not sure what your thoughts were on the more dynamic layouts (where the text is bigger and overlaid), but this one is much more traditional-feeling in case that is what you were looking for. Also, the more I think about it, the more I think the slogan may not necessarily need to be included--but let me know if it must be there and I will rework this newest design to include it.

Let me know what you think when you get time. Thanks!

Here is a different shield shape all together. I also thought it might be neat to include the famous Raider stripe from Tommy's jersey into the design!

Same as the previous design, but with only Navy, Red & White used. This type of design (only 3 colors) would be ideal for printing onto t-shirts and other apparel-type things or awards.

And one more revised layout, which combines elements from the original with the look of the newer ones...

we would like to see some of your designs with a more traditional look. Smaller more traditional font. we would like it to be a little simpler. thank you for your hard work.

Here is a new direction I went, after hearing you wanted something simple and traditional. I will see what other variations I can come up with as well, but feel free to comment on this one in the meantime. Thanks for giving me such great direction thus far; you have made my job much easier.

Here is one with a little more dynamism added, via the curved text. It fits the contour of the ball, bringing it all together nicely.

I made the bottom sub-text a little bigger, and I also added a subtle texture to the background. (I wish I could show it bigger, so that you could see it on here!)

Sorry, that last comment should've been in reference to entry #50, NOT #48 again. My mistake.
