I received your messages and will do my best to work on additional entries based on your comments and the styles posted .....I'm reading all your notes maybe a couple of times and looking at your links to hear your vision..

I won't be able to get to any until this afternoon. You have more than a day left and it shouldn't be a problem before you go into the next phase of your contest.

Thank you and I will be thinking of possibilities for your branding.
Sincerely,
Tere

Hi Tere' -
Sorry I didn't give you more yesterday - crazy day on the job-front. I know we're entering the judging phase shortly, so I went ahead and ranked you so you have time.

A thought, based on what I see in your portfolio...maybe you could work up a sort of "crest" for us...with a medieval spin, maybe - we are sort of promoting the whole "be a hero, help your community" thing - andthe whole "twin lions" thing has always been a favorite of mine, but this would be with cats...maybe one more feminine and one more masculine (since we're a spay-neuter org) - it could have the lattering "SIFI" in place of the traditional family initials, and could incorporate stylized natural elements like vines, leaves, branches, etc.

Definitely want green and brown in there, maybe some gold...don't worry too much about the precise palette right now, go with your gut.

Let me know your thoughts, and if you need more pictorial examples - thank you!!!

Oh - and maybe we could somehow work in that gorgeous eye that you did!

Ah - one more thought for reference - #70 is beautiful, but to me says "Velveteen Rabbit" - think more "Narnia" or Tolkien...

#132 I know you want earth tones but this is an idea to show you how you could use different color eyes in different areas to represent different services.

Also I'm still working on some ideas for a crest type logo.

#138 #139 and #140

Maybe not exactly crests but I was working on a 'feeling' which I tend to more...
and the eye of a warm gold looking through the grass this time.

Thank you!

Would you like to see the warm golden colors in #129 as on this #138?

and as another option if you like I can add the eye outline like on #70 or #130 instead of just the eye on #129. Would just need to rotate the type to compensate for that.

#137 I know it's humorous ...but it reminds me of Egytian hieroglyphics....looks like they are dancing the line dance...
good to laugh at some

hi Tere'-
very sorry to have been out of touch - family stuff.

my partner and i spoke this morning, and i believe we have settled on a design - just waiting on some minor adjustments.

i feel it's the respectful thing to let you know. I am sorry that i didn't invite you sooner, with more time to spare in the contest, but i don't want to ask you to put in any more time here on LT.

once the contest has ended, please private message us so that we can follow up with you about a creast design, which we are stil very much interested in. We are planning on designing "abercrombie-style" polo shirts for our junior members, and i think it would be really cool to have a crest to put on the chest-pocket.

We also offer community service credit to local boy and girl scout troops for volunteering, and designing a new merit badge for that, so i think a crest would work well there too.

so again, if that's something you'd be interested in, please let us know.
thank you SO very much for your time and work, and we wish you all the best in the meantime.

hi tere'
also - a quick note - even though it's not what we're looking for in a "one-and-only" logo...i think #s 129 and 130 would make an AWESOME design for a T-shirt (one design on front, one on back...)

i would want to adjust the palette just a bit (maybe a truer green with flecks of gold and brown?)

we would do an "about the artist" page on our site, and with each T-shirt purchased, we would include a postcard with the design on the front and a blurb about you and your work on the back)

would you like to work with us on something like that?

thanks again!
