It's very sweet that you want your mom to be a part of your business, I've lost my mom too some years ago and I feel you :)
As I noticed another designer had used a butterfly so please tell me if it was yours idea or his.
If it was yours idea it won't be a problem to use it in my design but if it was his idea I can't, due to LT rules.

Question - I don’t want this to get too busy and I’m not sure where it would go, but is it possible somewhere to incorporate a tiny butterfly? Maybe even Between the words connect commit close.

My mom died in August and her symbol was butterflies. I saw a logo with one in there and loved it.
