We really like the shark feel of the A -- especially how subtle the messaging is. It works without being too literal.
A few suggestions:
1) We would like to see a bit of color variation, as right now it looks a bit too monotone. The color of the "Shark" is great, but maybe a gradient look? Preferably a reflected gradient rather than a linear one. Something to give the "shark" phrasing of the logo a bit more depth and dimension. We'd love to see some of the navy or darker blues reflected here.
2) Could we turn the bottom edges of the shark *slightly* inward so that it's not *so* pointed? Even if it's just shading in a bit of the inside so that it looks less "arrow" like at smaller sizes.
3) Could we see a variation where the word "academy" is an an orange? Preferably a shade of orange that doesn't detract too much from the "Shark" wording and graphic above it, but incorporates more of the brands colors.
3b) another option could be adding a gradient color to the "S" "H" "R" and "K" but changing the color only of the shark/A portion.
