widestudio: Nice, clean designs; thank you! Entry #2 - Although I like the open-wing design, consistency in lines (see comments on #3 & 4 below) win out. Entry #3 - I like the consistency in angles between the back of the bird and the downstroke in the "f" Entry #4 - Same comment as in Entry #3, but the top line on the F seems a bit distracting. The color gradient looks great on the screen, but I worry about cost of printing shirts at fund-raising events.
Edit on the post about Entry #4: President of the organization likes the additional line on the F. This one takes first rank among your designs. Thanks!
These are looking very nice. Thanks for all the responses!
The new coloring on #48 looks perfect, and I still really like the design in #13. It's nice to see some of the variations in #49, but I think we'd rather stick to the earlier versions.
I should have some more time to discuss everything with the president tomorrow; we'll probably have some more feedback for you then.
Would it be possible to see #48 with a bolder font for "Setting Them," like in #8?
I still like #13. The organization president has asked if it would be possible to see that with a second bird, as well. This one looks like it is in preparation to fly. Could we see it with a second bird either in flight, or taking off?
Dear Contest Holder, thank you for your feedback and your appreciation. I've just uploaded the two modified versions as you requested. If you need any other change please let me know, I'll provide them as soon as possible. Regards, Alex
Alex - #68 looks very nice. At this point, we're considering how it will look on the website. Could we see how it might look with the birds to the side of the words?
After seeing #67, we're realizing we like the thinner font, as in the previous #48. I think we have all the variations we're looking for on that line.
We like how the new revisions look, but are interested to see if there are some other fonts that we might be able to try. Our main concern is avoiding anything that looks too square (the wording in #74 is fairly rigid). #76 avoids this, but we wouldn't mind seeing the letters in "Free" staying on a horizontal line.
Thanks for all the work you put into this! In the end, it was a close decision between #84, #48, and a couple of others. We wish you well as things move forward.
