This would be my approach for your logo.
Font can be easily changed if it seems to feminine or bulky.

Definitely like 5 better than 4. Like the use of the apron, but it seems very contrived and too stiff

Much better. I don't like the make your own spice, someone started it and it seems to be sticking with people. Could we find a way to add some color and depth to it?
