An issue is that we are really known for any swans - and in this setup I would probably prefer to logo to be to the left, smaller above, or as a watermark style

I do like the use of the blue highlight here and the good rich charcoal background. Seeing S-F-D makes me think either San Francisco or Fire Department. I could see how the two different ways to write out the name could be great on a business card, but I am not sure why would be put the long hand of the name and abbreviation on the same sign - I gues it could be done though
