if it's around or near the edge we are not allowed by LogoTournament
a rectangle shape around the logo could be , but if it's too near the margins admins may remove the entry.
So I think Seaside needs more blue in it (not so deep - maybe halfway between the 1st blue color and this?) and the family dentistry needs a deeper color to make it pop more (Deeper charcoal?)
but , just asking... if you decide to renovate in ...let's say 2 years ,and will change the colors of the office? you'll go for coral red and...strawberry...
what i'm trying to say is that color, "per se" is not that important , since sometimes (a fax) you'll use the black and white logo.
hope i've explained myself well...
be back in a few minutes with the dark gray/dark blue version.
Now that pops!! This may work for some applications for us - But let's try to find a good complementary color for the white background for now.
I am tending to lean toward a Charcoal and deep blue. The fun thing I did light about the original color scheme is that Family Dentistry really popped out - where now it gets lost.
Is there a way to get Seaside to be more rich in color without losing the popping / contrasting effect of Family Dentistry?
white / black pop nicely , especially if they are placed against that color (the chosen one) ...white on blue background, light gray on dark background, stuff like this
this is usually due to the color display profile , operating system...stuff like this. usually, a print company will ask for the color code, so they give you the closest match.
I was able to see the color in the link. It is true - you kind of lose the bluish aspect - looks almost dark brown to black. Plus we lose the contrasting abilities of the two colors - they no longer compliment one another.
Basically I am trying to make the colors more rich and deeper so they can pop more.
Its weird, when the computer screen is stationary the color appears almost black, but me I scroll up and down I can see the bluish tones of it.
this shade of deeper blue gray , maybe, i should prepare a version all white placed on this color as background, so you can get a better look at it . or : this will show it nice and clean . http://www.color-hex.com/color/314657
good morning :) at least here ...
well...your idea with the tooth brush , i personally didn't think at it ...
i was going for the minimal/abstract braces :), first the S shape was horizontal, but kind of was a bit too long, and one of the halves was pointing down, which ( damn marketing) has a negative feel.
okay : i'll first make the graphic smaller , and then a second version with the graphic on the left.
i think i could try to add some small detail on the upper part of the shape to resemble a tooth brush a bit more.
long message , but hey :)...
thanks a lot for the comment and i'm getting to it.
I really like the modern edgy style of this. Font type is great - colors compliment each other. Make the emblem portion smaller and see if you can give it some kind of a dental feel to it.
I suppose I could talk myself into saying each of the lines gives it a toothbrush feel, but it is a little bit of a stretch ... but that does make me like it more
