honestly, i am not familiar with the way a contest holder page looks like .
but, if there is an option in the help files...i assume there is a real option too ...
really don't know....
saturday though, don't think anyone will get it till monday :)
Ok, I'm going to end it now. I just heard back from the Secretary of State office and I need to change the name (already taken). I am going to edit the brief now with the correct name. If you could change the name and repost the image, then I will end it. Not sure how it works with alterations, so I want to make sure the contest ends with the correct name. Name is BridgePointe.
the files are with no background at all . they can be placed against anything .
thant's why i've asked you when the contest is complete to click on my screen name, and click again on send PM (private message) there you can leave me your email which i'll use to send file types that logotournament doesn't allow us to exchange.
The files I received were also with blank backgrounds so I could put the image over anything I wanted to play around with, which mya have just been normal .ai files that were opened without a background in Photoshop. Sorry, my skills are very limited. I know enough to resize images and change colors, so I'll need whatever file will allow me to chnage the color of the pistol and text, resize, move around, etc. I have AI and photoshop
absolutely. it's common to leave it this way so the end user may modify, edit...
only the font is outlined, so that one you'll have to edit by yourself, using the fonts installed on your machine
When I did logos in the past through here, the illustrator sent me .ai files where the graphic and words weren't locked so I could make edits myself. Meaning, it was one file but everything wasn't flattened into one single image. Make sense?
thank you :) but if you intend to change it, i may have to deliver you the graphic as a separate file . this could be easier , when playing around with ...
got to be an optical illusion. the pistol is unchanged from the #43 , with some small detail adjustments inside, so the overall is untouched.
the site is compressing images so all the entries look like 350x280 pixels.
I think I can see why it's less bulky looking. It was cleaned up around the trigger guard and on the grip frame. We need it to look like #43 because when you zoom out, the lines are thinner around the trigger guard so it looks thin.
Also, maybe it's just a trick of the eyes because the font change, but the revised pistol looks a little thinner. You might cleaned up the lines and that's why. We like it to look a little bulky as #43.
Thanks for the update. We don't want it to look too clean and perfect though. I can see the subtle differences, which look great. If you could add back how the white strip looks under the barrel on image #43--this one looks too straight and perfect. We like the old school handrawn imperfection look. The polishing on the detailed parts looks great. We're deciding on the font. If you could post a pics with a revised pistol and both fonts we'll figure it out. We're going with your design.
Ok, I'll bed .ai files to change font types in illustrator. Just please make sure you use outlines on everything so I don't have to search for font types. We decided to use a cannon for SeaBridges Strategies, so maybe we can work something out for another logo.
your money your rules :)
about the vector files , when the contest is complete you'll receive 1 EPS vector file with no raster images embedded , and 1 jpeg image as presentation . either way when the contest is done i'll be happy to provide you with my email address in case you'll need other vector types or /and different files.
Is that what this one is? I'm open to anything you suggest. The pistol was the major hurdle and you nailed it. However, to be clear, the pistol needs to be vector (I think) as it needs to be able to be enlarged without resolution deteriorating.
Also, I really like the flintlock pistol I posted (4th image and from istock). If you are able to tweak yours any that would be good. I can't use istock's as a logo.
Ok. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Also, if you could do the background in a cream/ivory color it would help me with the color scheme.
