I've had to adjust this design — the body of the scout in the circle fading to white was another designer's idea. I've put a partial line across towards the scarf to complete the "O" to make my design more unique.
Absolutely. I'm actually doing some research on that at the moment. I was thinking of having their hand up at their head as if shielding the sun as if searching. But it might look like a badly done salute! So I'm working on the idea.
I thought if the figure was looking into the distance, so not just front on would work well.
The jpeg this website generates is not fantastic. I can assure you the detail is very sharp and precise. I might load a version of the "O" for you.
There would be no problem whatsoever with printing. With embroidery it's not ideal - what I would recommend is there be a second, slightly simplified version specifically for embroidery where the detail in the compass is simplified a little.
I'd be happy to provide that in the files supplied.
Another option for embroidery would be to actually feature the compass as a larger icon above the word SCOUT.
I’m also concerned with the quality when I zoom in it does not look good. Do you anticipate any issues with printing/embroidering this logo on advertising or merchandise?
The logo looks great but I think we need to scrap the compass. A Scout figure is the direction we are leaning towards. Unless we are able to produce a more detailed compass. I am looking for images of what I’m envisioning.
I was aiming to use a font that had rounded shapes so that the compass circle shape worked in well with it.
Would you like something more classic - a serif, or can you describe a style? Or I can offer some variations and you can let me know what's on track.
Ok, great. My one concern is not to get too detailed (fine detail) with the compass. If the logo is used for a website or other situations online at a relatively small size you don't want those details getting lost. I guess I mean the NSEW letters mainly. I'll see what I can come up with!
Hello. Thank you for reviewing my concepts for your company logo.
Using a sight glass in the "O" creates a very clean typographic design which has the idea embedded within it. The "O" could even be taken out as a stand-alone icon if and when required.
Any feedback, positive or negative, is very welcome so that I can fine tune or change tack if required.

This has a broad appeal and is highly recognisable and eye catching.
