Scholars and GentlemenLogo Design Contest

Raymer, Thanks for the design looking good. I like what you have done with the crest. I am wondering if it might be too detailed. The crest may end up on our garments by way of embroidered logo. The detail may make that embroidery difficult to capture. Is there a way to simplify yet keep a similar sense of luxury. I like the references to the wing and tree. The spear is also nice. What were the inspiration for those symbols?

..actually i went along the sports line for the images just going by your brief, i was going to ask if there could be anything more specific to you placed inside ?? Thanks for your feedback

could we try this with a different font? and possibly remove the spear with stripes (a la Porsche crest)....

How about changing the symbols inside the crest?

Maybe a book or a scroll (for scholar) and (???). Not sure for gentleman.

Thanks for the new submission ray. We voted against the top hat as a theme.

I still like your concept of a crest a la prep school. Couple flavors I was thinking:

1) Maybe just the letters S and G
2) I still wrestle with the wing as a symbol
3) I like the scroll.
4) Other ideas for scholar: light, lamp, candle,
5) ideas for gentleman: ??? still not sure what could go here?
