So do you prefer just an horizontal logo?

Sure... Instead of having logo and text stacked on top of each other, have them on a single line... Our e-commerce site requested a graphic with parameters of 240 x 70... Hope that makes sense

Our general feedback is that we like the pencil, but the seal looks like a snake... Also we would prefer an in-line logo. How about losing the seal and incorporating the pencil in (or along with) the "SB"?

While Seal Beach is what the "SB" stands for, our business name is SB Office Supplies. I like the direction your going.
