Makou,

I've circulated this image to some of the people in our organization and the general feedback is that they like the concept but aren't crazy about the gorilla. I tried to zero in on what elements of the gorilla were troubling and the primary feedback was as follows.

Facial expression seems a little too fun. We don't want him to look ferocious, but the gorilla should look like he's putting effort into swinging the bat. Something like http://www.bradfitzpatrick.com/stock_illustration/cartoon-animal-clipart/cartoon-gorilla-clipart.htm

Lower body is too long and skinny. In general, Silverback Gorillas have really long and powerful looking arms and short/stocky lower bodies. The design should be more symmetrical in regard to the lower/upper body.

Some other inspiration...

Makou... we're admittedly all over the place with this, but most everyone I've polled now thinks #1 is the best so far. I appreciate your efforts on the others. Let's focus on #1 for now as it's the body positioning is preferable. Let's focus on the body first. Can you make this guy (#1) a bit more muscular? Especially the lower body. We'll move on to the face when we get the body down.

OK we're liking the green cleats in #18. Not crazy about the lack of expression in #19, but perhaps if you could make it look like he is grunting or exerting some effort it might work. Overall, we'd like to see #18 with a little more muscularity in the legs. Thanks for your efforts on this! Great design!

Makou,

Can we look at #19 with a circle around the monkey similar to this... http://tomseasoltz.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/orioles.gif with "San Tan" on the top half and "Silverbacks" on the lower half?

Thanks,

Andy

These are great Makou... except it should say "Silverbacks" on the bottom, not "Silverback". Missing the "s". also can you work on a version of the gorilla with thicker legs/lower half?
