Saint Basil Orthodox ChurchLogo Design Contest

Hi there, and thank you for your incredible contribution to our logo tournament. Your logo was one of the favorites of the almost 200 submitted. There was a consistently favored logo among the top 4 submissions, and even though some of our respondents were “insistent” that yours was by far the best, we’re going to stick with the most popular option. Thanks so much for all that you put into this!

Here, I just slightly reduced the size of the font for "Orthodox Church" and adjusted the spacing. I think it looks a little better.

Thanks. One more tweak, and I think we are there. Can you change the font for "Orthodox Church" and the tagline to something a little more simple and clean (think Arial type fonts),

Put a gray horizontal line beneath the words "Orthodox Church". (this will move the word mark "Saint Basil Orthodox Church" up a little in the vertical space).

Make the tag line *not bold* (e.g. a little less prominent) where you have it.

Hello Peter. Yes, I just uploaded it. if there is anything else I can do to improve the design or get back in first place let me know. I tried to make it very unique to Wilmington and also keep it very traditional and Orthodox. Just let me know.

Can we see one version with the graphic somewhat smaller next to the words, "Saint Basil" and "Orthodox Church" ... with the tag line extending the entire width of the logo (e.g. under the graphic and the words?).

I really like this one, and want it to have all of the "feedback" elements included before I send out the final poll.

Can you make the tag line (gray) a little larger so that it can be read? Perhaps this will mean making the text above slightly larger.

Just got lots of good feedback, and your logo is among the favorite of those presented. If you could give me two versions of this logo, tweaked a bit, using the following colors (but feature the colors in different ways in the two versions - e.g. "swap the reds and blues").

Red: 720F29

Blue: 06426A

Gray: 808080

Make sure the tagline: "Offering the Ancient Faith to North Carolina's Port City" is included. Try to keep the fonts and the image roughly the same size in the vertical space.

I'll send another poll out after we get these in, and we'll award the logo shortly after the final feedback.

Some further tweaks: I wrote out St. Basil the Great so you could compare that also and changed the fonts for OC and Wilmington. I also slightly lightened the blue and darkened the brown color...

I changed up the color scheme here and made the dome and cross more Byzantine style. I think it looks really sharp. Let me know what you think.

Can you give me a version of this, like it is, with:
1) No Basil leaf.
2) Saint Basil spelled out, same color font (you can resize fonts as required for this).

I'll throw it into the mix for people to vote on.

How about this version with the changes you requested?

Can we please see:
1) A version with a more typical font (for comparison)
2) Make the image (Dome/Bridge) a bit smaller.
3) Remove the "Wilmington, North Carolina" from the logo
4) A slightly different blue/gray

Getting closer here. Can we:
1) Spell out "Saint Basil" (and see how that looks)
2) Make the "Orthodox Church" below the word "Saint Basil" match the length of the words "Saint Basil" ?

Fewer colors, I think. And, I don't think the leaf works. if you can find a "byzantine" type English font, that would be great.

I like the dark blue - maybe a more blue-gray for the water and text, and a solid gray for the "Orthodox Church" part of the text.

Hello there. I hope you like my concept. I put an Orthodox dome on top of a bridge to represent the "port city." I am happy to make any changes if you like. Any feedback is appreciated so I could try to get you the logo you are looking for.
