we had an office "doodle" puppy until he grew almost as big as my desk! cute and lovable dogs! hope I captured the cuteness in this entry.

Thank you for your entry! I like the concept. While it is cute, it doesn't look like a doodle puppy because it lacks the scruffiness most people associate with doodles. (I attached some pictures of our pups to help with that since it is hard to describe!) We find #4 to be hard to read. We think the font on #3 maybe needs to be more tribal? It is important to us that the font is easy to read even when small. Great job so far!

I will work on it... the drawing is based on one of the puppies on your site... I tried to capture the cute look in his eyes. I will see if I can make him more scruffy but my favorite style is to try to capture the look with few lines.

I will also look for a different "tribal" font that is easy to read.... might not be until tomorrow - we are celebrating our country's birthday today.

Honestly I've shown this to a ton of people and nobody thinks the puppy looks anything like a Doodle. one of the ways the people describe a doodle is the dog that has a "bottle brush" face. I like the text best on #3 and #17.

Ah, I see now. The problem is that puppy you used is very young. They don't get the characteristic coat until they are 8+ weeks old. Look at the attachement to my brief titled Piper8Weeks. That is the look and coat that sells. People offered to pay me big bucks for her because of that perfect sweet scruffiness. I hope that helps.

OK I tried to capture the sweet look of Piper ... Romeo is black and very goofy looking but oh so lovable - he still comes to the office to visit sometimes but he is so huge.... well he takes up most of the cubicle!

#22's puppy is SO much better! That is the sweet scruffiness our clients adore (and by the way, Piper is full grown at 16 pounds so she isn't a moose like Romeo ;) I think that text is my favorite so far but I'm not necessarily thrilled with any of the ideas yet for behind the words. But if you take that out, you just have a puppy and text which would be too minimalistic I think. It needs something else to give it some wow. Great job!

I thought you would like to know that one of my clients chose #23 as first and when I asked her what she liked about it, she said that the puppy had her dogs expression... What is funny is the model you used for this is the client's dog's sister. So I wanted to compliment your ability to translate a picture into such a simple drawing. It was good enough she recognized the family resemblance! Thank you for you submissions :)
