Thanks for your entry. We're off to a good start; however we'd like a more unified logo (this is in 3 clear sections). We're looking for something that stands out just a little more, too.

I realized I made a mistake in the description of our needs. We're looking for a logo for our WHOLE band program and I mistakenly specified marching band (probably because marching band season is about to start). The selected logo will be placed on our band trailer and will also be used for all aspects of the band program.
I like the clean and modern approach to design #3.

Also, regarding these logos, we would like to stay away from instruments or musical notation. There are so many different instruments in the band that showing one is not representative. Since we have the word "band" in our logo, we don't need an actual band picture. Can you google the logo for the Metropolitan Opera? The Indianapolis Symphony, the Chicago Symphony, the Roanoke Youth Symphony, and the Sussex Symphony Orchestra all have logos that suggest music but are more symbolic. I like the font you chose in design #1.

Your design #3 is still the most impressive. If you could adapt that to something that encompasses our whole program and less text centered then we're on the right track.

so do you want to stay away from the person playing and add a symbol of some sort?

I like your new entries. Let's see what happens when you combine #3 with #12. Replace the flute player with the "R."

Hmmm... too busy, but, again, on the right track. Try it as just the letter "R" or try to incorporate an instrument into the "R" in a different way.

Sorry, I meant just the letter "R" inside the circle. That circle (particularly the shading) was my favorite aspect of your designs.

Or incorporate an instrument differently into the "R" and still use the circle.

(I'm trying to make your job easy... I hope I'm not making it more confusing!)

Don't forget: the logo is for our whole band program... not just the marching band.

I do certainly like that one! Try playing around with it by only placing something in place of the flute player. It can even be an abstract shape or design that you like... or maybe one that you associate with excellence or passion.

Thanks! As you're making edits delete the word "marching" from the logo. The design is for our whole band program... not just the marching band. Think stages, concerts, and conductors. Again, an abstract design within the circle may work best.

Maybe a sharper abstract image than the one in #50? Maybe try a treble clef too.

Sure thing. I just wanted to remind you again, though, that this is not for our marching band. The logo should read "Roswell High School Band" and the picture in the circle should not have anything to do with marching band. Just something abstract or musical.

Very cool designs! Last request: Can you combine #81 with #49... kind of?
We want the circle in #81 off to the left with the text from #49 off to the right. (Kind of replacing the circle in #49 with the circle from #81.) Also, inside the circle in #81 it says "Roswell High School Band." Can you center "Roswell High" right where it is, flip over "School Band" so that it's not upside down, and then center it on the bottom?
Also, we want some revisions from one other designer too. I'm going to switch the other guy to first place tomorrow at 4:30PM EST so that he may submit his changes. Can you get in your revisions before 4:30 tomorrow? If not, just let me know. Thanks!
