Hi! Here are a few brief points regarding the elements of my design: I've divided up the text so that the "ROLLIN SMOKE" portion represents the smoked / bbq'd meat. The "BBQ" part is in the flames. The flames have a hardwood texture running through them to represent the wood aspect. The smoke trails up and round the text and drift off - the trailing aspect hints at the "rollin'" / moving part. The tagline is below within grill marks that represent the smoker / grill. The design is currently 3 colors with no gradients, meaning it'd be easy produce in any format / media. It could easily go to 2 colors or even a single, solid color (which would help if you ever had ink stamps made for branding, custom napkins/plates, etc.)
Here are some darker colors. Is that what you were looking for - or were you wanting key-in on something in particular? Any changes, just let me know :) thanks! josh
I figured they were out of the running and you were moving in a more slick/commercial direction so I removed them. If you're interested I can put them back in.
Yes please...I don't think we know for sure the direction we are going. Two of us are reviewing and I like the creativity if your idea. Trying to determine which direction to go.
Your welcome. Thanks for acting like a professional. Look for reviews to start turning up concerning your childish attitude and lack of professionalism. Best wishes.
How - in the course of the contest - did I act unprofessionally?
My entries had a concept behind them and I attempted to offer you something different from the other entries being presented, rather than mimic what was already ranked. I created all of the art present in my submission for your contest from scratch. The smoke, the wood grain and the distressing was all newly drawn. The type was altered, and in some cases, drawn fresh. It's 100% original. Rather than throw me a bone and give me a single spot in the 4 - 10 ranking, you ranked 29 minor variations ahead of me (which, I should add - don't benefit the top 3 ranked designers, since you can only receive points once). You ranked me 33rd - which means 0 points for me in entering this contest.
I received two messages from designers saying they liked my entry into your contest. You don't like them - that's fine, doesn't bother me that I didn't win or even rank in the top 3 - it's part of the process; but AT LEAST acknowledge the fact that I worked hard for you and attempted to give you options. Doing otherwise - to me - is childish and unprofessional.
