I like the font and the concept. Do you have any images that arent vector images. Something a little more real like a realestic T-rex? Also we need a better tagline. I proposed Jurassic Giants but it got shot down..lol all of the dinos are from the Jurrasic period.
Hi there - a 'logo' really needs to be a vector as its used in many different applications and needs to be scaled to any size ... this is why logo tournament is a vector only site.
Now maybe what you guys really need is a logo combined with a 'key visual' - or in other words, get yourselves a logo that is maybe just the 'dinosaurs' word mark,with tag line then have a designer combine it with more photorealistic imagery to create a key visual after the contest. There are plenty of stock dinosaurs that can be purchased easily to make this happen: http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-15644588-tyrannosaurus-rex.php?st=3fdf80f but we are not allowed to use stock in the contests - all material we use has to be our own work entirely.
To put this another way, if someone uses more photorealistic artwork in your contest, they are probably cheating and have stolen it from somewhere.
