I like your design - but as an alternative can I try for a another symbol to show the personal attention we give clients - maybe two side profiles of a face looking at each other ( ie face to face dealing ). Can you put one on a bone backround and one version on a steely grey(charcoal) backround both with white writing for Richards business Centre and have Business Centre a bit bigger than original. I like colours deep purple, lime green and orange and white for logo. many thanks
Hi. Something like this? It's smart and professional. Let me know if the design is on track and I can do alternative colour options. Different layouts is no problem. FYI the site allows upload of one logo but you can negotiate with any designer to get other versions via email after contest end.
I could see this logo with the faces cut out and lit from behind so they glow through the purple circle. Just a thought for signage!
Thanks Micheal - Can I try for a bit more abstract profile of the faces and have faces in say purple with bright lime green in between. Sorry to be a pain but until I see it not sure what I will like. Any other symbols you can think of which display our service which is very personal, one on one, professional, approachable and trustworthly. My slogan is ... you not just a Number. I am an accountant so a play of Numbers could work also. I still like the initials one you gave also. I have ideas but just can't bring it together onto paper which you abviousily can. It will be on business cards and exterior building signage on a major road so want it to be easily readable by passing cars. I thought white writing on a darker base would be better but please let me know your thoughts based on your experience.
Looked at Entry 11 and really starting to like it - have ranked 1 now ( light the colour combination) can I see Business Centre the next size up and is background black or charcoal ( my screen shows it as black and wanted a charcoal colour)
Lisa, interestingly the LR icon does represent two people/businesses/parties coming together and interacting. In a very simple and effective way - from two directions they then turn to go in the same path. It's quite nice because people won't see the LR immediately (to be honest, in this and other designs), so it's great that it has a nice balance and look to it.
The rounded corner of the L and R also have a modern look – almost like the corner of a monitor or iphone, a nice abstract shape.
I'll keep thinking but that's a great backstop!
As far as signage colour - it's a little difficult to comment without seeing the location. However, as a general rule the main thing with signage is contrast. Whether it is light on dark or vice-versa, the main thing to avoid is colours not having enough contrast. either way will work – but the final result might be best decided after viewing the location or building.
These bright colours, with white, on a dark charcoal grey are going to work, full stop. It looks modern and sharp.
Lisa, those earlier designs - eg #11 - the background is a very dark grey. These new ones #18 #19 I've made a lighter grey. Hoping this looks like a charcoal on your screen. Let me know if it's too light.
Great work - I agree to go with the lr reasonings and not the faces. Yes the grey looks a bit to light on my screen and was going for a fairly strong charcoal but not near black. Can I see entry 19 with logo first as well - ie before wording.
Also is it possible to also show the words underneath the current logo and words
Lisa Richards Chartered Accountant - do the length of current logo option ( with logo first before words) and do on the contrast white backround with Lisa in orange and rest in charcoal colour. In the small size font as business centre maybe
This is another concept I have been developing — the l and R form a path, the intersection is a circle, which signifies a connection (business to client).
The R is more obvious that my other design, which works well in that it can be seen as a signature letter logo as well.
I'm just checking – in your brief you've specified more towards "feminine". Has that changed? As the boxy fonts are very masculine – I've been avoiding that look. Happy to explore if you feel they're more on track. I'm heading more towards rounded shapes and fonts – I feel these give an approachable feel without being too feminine. Thanks!
