The small part of the ribbon that should go behind the circle is different on all three logos.I don't have the option to draw (mark) you like you do to me.
Just to know I just removed the tagline and year here, nothing has been modified, maybe I could balance it out a bit if you don’t want a tagline and a date?
Finalists - we are sending this note to everyone. First off, congratulations! There were 900+ entries from over 50 artists. Your work stood out from a very competitive field. A few notes on why we liked each of you and what we are looking for in the final.
1. Don't pay attention to rank! We just sorted by designer. You all have a chance to win.
2. We changed our slogan to "The right glue" and took out "for the job".
3. We need the logo to work in black and white, so please show versions of that.
4. For design and website purposes, we think a circular or near circular logo may be where we end up. Doing so will also mean that it won't be a huge departure from the current logo.
5. Our website, www.rhadhesives.com is a mess. We recently bought the business and are looking to upgrade it. That said, our cans for HH-66, S-18 etc. have solid industry recognition that we don't want to change much. The logo needs to fit in here.
6. The logo needs to work both with and without the tagline.
7. Two words that describe our brand our "specialized" and "proven". That could be why round logos work well since they are seals of approval.
8. Timeless logos are good too since legacy is a big part of the brand.
9. Simple logos without too much to interpret are good too since we are direct.
Here are some comments on each of the designers.
1. Graphica - Probably the most modern - which we are debating how modern we want it to be. Very clever way to make RH into a can while keeping the block font like HH-66 and S-18 products. Concern is this may be "too clever" and not necessarily timeless.
2. Dapc79 - Yours is a blend of modern and timeless. How would this look without the tagline and since 1949? Can you incorporate some of other people's thinking to evolve the design a little?
3. Calinico - Homerun for making the logo timeless/1950s. Can you incorporate some of other people's thinking to evolve the design a little? We also need to change the tagline to "the right glue" and see options with/without the tagline.
4. Modern Design - Very versatile designs with a wide array of ideas. We are looking for you to take this feedback above and see how you can incorporate this with other design ideas.
5. Amanterkendali - Yours are more vintage, but not quite as much as calinico. Like modern design, we are looking for you to take this feedback above and see how you can incorporate this with some other design ideas.
I will remain active reviewing everyone's ideas. Good luck! Keep up the great work!
