okay no ropes.

i want to stay away from the "rope" we have many events inside the rodeo that would not use only the rope

this one is work in progress

I am not a fan of gradients the alternative I use to use solid at a slightly difference from the main color as shown here.

The reason not to sue gradients is print issue as well as readability. Gradients on this text is a bad design. Gradients on heavier fonts is okay. If you prefer a gradient and special eye candy effects let me know.
