Fortunately, I do these contests for fun and I know the gamble we assume as both designs and CH's with crowdsourcing. As you may have already seen in my profile, I have been doing product branding and design for about 30+ years. It's tough to work without one-on-one client/design contact. Unlike a sit-down with the client to discuss, demographics, market strategies and goals, crowdsourcing is a shot in the dark.
I really appreciate you reaching out and leaving this comment. It's sort of a rarity to see a CH show appreciation.
Thanks and I wish you all the best in your endeavour.
Hi Marcelo, Thank you for all your ideas and design revisions - I really appreciate all your effort. It was a very tough decision but I have ended up going with another design.
Good luck and thanks again, Ben
Did you want to see chrome versions of rotating bolts. I had not done any revisions on this, but I saw that another designers had added a version and was ranked first. I communicated with the designer and he was really respectful and removed it as per Logotournament rules (and design ethics). :) Since, I had initially presented this, I am completely allowed to make any revision you may like to see Less or more bolts, chrome effect... you name it.
Different font, but if you like it, I think I'd customize the "T" since the bend looks a bit off. It does look nice but not with it being the only letter doing that. Just my opinion.
Got your message. On this version I reverted to a previously used font, but I had not did this design version with it. Coincidentally this font is based on the Terminator typeface. The only thing is that with most of these fonts I might have to customized some of the letters to work with the design. In most of these the "O's" has to be made round whereas the actual font is a square shaped "O".
Thanks for your revised design - it looks really good. Could you please try reducing the size/significance of the word 'vehicles' (as well as the green line next to it)? Thanks a lot...
I just upload several versions. This is were I'll need your input and which version you want me to revise or change. Also any other ideas you want me to try, feel free to ask.
Hi Marcelo - sorry, I haven't been great at keeping the rank accurate (and have been changing my mind a bit...) I have updated the rank and you are in the top 5...
I thought I was out of the running. I'm away from my computer right now, but I can make the changes when I get back. The only thing is that in the next phase only the top 5 designers you have ranked will be able to submit. Will you be shuffling the ranks, otherwise, I won't even have a submit button available to me.
Hi, really like your design. could you please try it without the back bit of the car coming down into the V? Is it possible to give the word 'Revolution' a 3D chrome look?
Thanks for the ranking and the comments. Perfect, I wanted to be sure that your market was both manufactures B2B and end users. Also thanks for answering the question about how much of the powertrain was involved. I guess, I'll stick with "electrical" as a general concept as oppose to showing a battery, or a transmission.
As for this design, I wanted the idea to encompass electrical by means of the bolts but also wanted to reinforce the name "REVOLUTION" by showing the bolts spinning. Also, in case it is too subtle, the reason I did one bolt in green, is to tie into the "EV" so that some might see first EV AND see it as EVO. :)
Any thoughts on changes you might like to see or variation, just let me know.
Hi Night Owl and thanks for your interest in my logo. I like this general design - could you please try without the 'Electric Powertrain solutions", and make the 'O' something symbolising continuity/sustainability (maybe involving the 'EV' somehow?)
Thanks
Hi Marcelo, Our electric powertrains include everything from the storage of the energy (ie batteries) right through to transmitting the drive to the wheels. We are aiming more at business/government customers but will sell to individuals as well. The product is essentially an aftermarket product at this stage
Are the powertrains you supply an aftermarket product? Are they sold to businesses, or individual? Lastly what part of or how complete are these powertrains (i.e motors, transmission, drivetrains...) Sorry for all the questions, but the more info I can gather helps me best identify and target the correct market.

No worries. :) It must be difficult on the clients end, trying to keep up.
I'm hurried back so I'll upload shortly. Please get back to me with any changes after I upload and I'll get on them ASAP.
Thanks again.
