I really like #8, the new font/typeface make the logo look more professional, classic, and refined. Honestly, I like all of your designs, you do wonderful work. In the new #8, the top of the 'H' not only forms the chimney, but the bottom of it also looks a little like a window, door or wall. I love the simplicity and elegance of the logo. I like that the roof brings in the residential theme, which is what I had in my mind, but did not want to voice it, because I didn't want to stifle creativity. I also like the 'space filler' at the bottom, the line before the word 'properties', it serves as the bottom of the house, as well as signifies motion and progress with the fade-in of the line.
I'll think about the design, and see if I can think of any suggestions for improvement, or if it is good as-is.
The thoughts I have on the logo currently are I'm wondering of the lettering is not quite as pronounced at it could be. I don't want to monkey with it too much, as I really like it. Perhaps we can thicken or darken the letters a little? Or perhaps try other colors.
It's interesting to see how such a small change can make a big effect in perception. Looking back and forth between #8 & #9, I'm a little torn, and I have some thinking to do.
Your changes in #9 were spot-on. The word 'Rennhack' is more pronounced, more powerful, and bold. It looks great.
I still like the #8 font, with its slightly slimmer letters, which does convey a little more feminin, yet elegant look.
I'm a guy, and I tend to like the testosterone version more, as it symbolizes strength and power. so lets work with #9.
I do like the placement/proportions of the roof in #8 better. Could you try to mimic its placement/proportion in #9?
Thank you again for all of your work on this design. I'm a firm believer that you (I) get out of things what you put into things, like this contest. You cav look forward to more good feedback.
I like the color of the Roof and accent line in #10. Lets incorporate that into the suggestions from above on the proportion/placement of the roof, and see what we get.
One last thought, the new designs have a lot of 'white space'. Please take it easy on my old eyes, and make the logo use more of the canvas, so it looks bigger to me in the thumbnails. THANKS!
I see in #11, you used a lighter gray roof to help the "Rennhack" name stand out more, I think that works well.
I see the left side of the rood starts around the location of the original starting place, I like that, It makes the "R" more pronounced.
Lets try #11 but with less white space as discussed above, so I can get a better feel for the design. AND maybe an alternate to #11 where the chimney is coming out of the left side of the "H". I don't know which I would like better, but It would be nice to compare them.
I can't think of anything else right now. If you think of other designs, I would be happy to consider other ideas as well. However, I think you have perfected this design concept.
Thanks. I will think about other concepts or possible improvements. I really like the simplicity of this design. I believe it will work well across different media and keep your printing cost down. It will also look great in a simple black and white or grey tone. Have a great Thanksgiving day. Do not hesitate to request other changes.
Please feel free to bin my designs that are not working for you. This will not hurt my feelings at all. It may help you keep your contest organized. You can always reinstate the designs at a later date.
Could you make a #15 and a #24 with "Rennhack" in brown please.
For some reason, #25 pops out at me more than #24, but the logo with need a white background most of the time. (Letterhead, etc.). I think having "Rennhack" in brown, might make it more bold, and stand out more, than the soft green. However, I do like green in #15 & #24.
I would also like to see a variation on #24 with the ground on the sides of the houses less curved. Maybe wavy, or longer.
I have uploaded an entry with multiple roof lines. While this version is more realistic than others, I personally feel that the multiple roof line ideas create too much clutter and detract for the company name. When the designs are placed on 18x24 yard signs, the logo icon will take up too much space limiting the space needed for critical information such as phone numbers and website. A simpler design also will work better for embroidery, letterhead/business cards and promotional items such as pens that often need to be printed in one color. Please share your thoughts...
added the line as requested. I also made the word properties a little bit smaller to achieve balance. I wil be away from my computer for a while. If you need further changes after the judging period starts, send me a note and you will need to place me in the #1 ranked position to allow me to upload other versions. this goes for all of the designers. I will check back in a few. Sunday afternoon honey-do list are calling.
