I wanted to keep the graphic clean/open with a touch of retro, but still clearly standing in the "modern" category. Any feedback you may have is appreciated.
the retro and modern is exactly what the company is about. The red 1951 Ford truck is important because it was my grandfathers and then my dad's and now mine. I am putting a modern chassis and motor in it while keeping the outside looking original. That is the concept of my company building the future on the foundation of your unique past and the truck will play a major role in branding.
I like #1 the best overall their is to much red. maybe the truck in an outline of the font in black. you tell me The truck seem flat
Thanks for the feedback! I'll have that soon. That said - I did want you to know that I tried to keep the colors down and things somewhat flat so that the printing costs are cheaper. It's also better to have flat colors for screen printing / embroidery - if that would pertain to the future use.
I'm not sure exactly what is going on and if you are still in this process. I an new to this whole thing and do apologies if in anyway have acted in a way that is unethical. If I have please let me know what that is so I don't repeat it. I strive to be ethical in every aspect of my business.
As to the design - I do hope to do some embroidery work as well as t-shirts with this so I appreciate the input on the flatness. I would like to go with black and red instead of the gray. I would still remove the red rays. I don't know if I would like this or not but maybe replace the red rays with ???? rays.
Hey Tim - Yeah, sorry about the chaos!! Not really a fiasco, though - I promise! In order to produce the best possible results for logo buyers, LT allows designers some rights with regards to originality. This, in the end, does produce a better array of designs and much wider variety for you to choose from. They discourage logos that are too similar in look & feel so that designers must "dig deep". The community decided that some logos weren't different enough - the designers that withdrew were very gracious in doing so and agreed that the entries were too close (I don't believe either of them were acting consciously unethical). Another designer was found by a moderator to have traced an image from the internet - which could cause big problems for you copyright-wise - so that was removed by staff per logotournament protocol (and penalty will be assigned).
I'm actually working on your changes (as well as a few variations) right now. Nothing you did was viewed as unethical in any way - I, and the other designers as well, are all striving to produce the best possible logo for you! Again - apologize for the awkwardness!
Thanks for your information It was a good insight into your end of things and I'm glad that you guys our looking out for my interest in the area of copy writes.
Love the new stuff. You can see my ranking. I would like to see it with out the star burst background just a plan white background.
