Also for giving the tuxedo backpacker a chance! :) I was thinking about something more of a comic backpacker though. I really love your "Deal Saw" Character for example. maybe you can come up with something of that kinf for our contest too? Also: there is no need for a red background, somebody started, now everybody's following, but we didn't really ask for the red+gold coloring, so you can come up with something different too!
Good new options, good as a basis that leads into the right direction. I like the comic style and the lettering. The Star not too much and the greek temple neither.
I think I want something as follows: a) the lettering shold be straight, solid and serious, pretty much like you offered in #48, although I want the tagline (every guest ...) to be louder. b) a mascot comic team, a boy in a tuxedo and a girl in a red dress. two backpackers (thus natural looking and not too much of a Pamela Anderson double) either carrying, sitting on or standing next to a backpack.
the two parts should be seperated fro each other, b) should be next to a), or above, not built into the lettering.
Right now I see the couple posing on the red carpet, him wearing sunglasses, her in a celebrity pose and flashlights surrounding them. Maybe you have another idea how to let the two approach our Red Carpet Hostels Lettering, but I think that could work!
Hello.. need sometime to create your characters, but meanwhile here some new options:#55 #56 , i added the female star character and overal design with more serious font and louder tagline, will change the chars after i created them:)
that chars are great, but after one week of trial and error without really knowing where we're heading we now realized that chars (although we thought they would) don't really go along with our CI and are not serious enough for our needs. We want to focus on a pictorial now that arranges classy hotel elements in a funky dynamic Hostel style. check out the revised Contest brief, maybe you can come up with something going that direction!
sorry for making you spending time on creating chars - it wasn't a waste but helped us finding out what suits us!
