General feedback. We prefer to have a design that is more of the Wordmark style (like amazon.com, Microsoft, Dell, FedEx, Prada), which has less emphasis on the graphical element(s). It would be good to see your creative energies applied to the form of the letters themselves.
Specific feedback. #2 This is the only one of the first 20 entries that actually matches the Wordmark style we requested. Thank you for carefully reading our contest brief. Is it possible to do something with the form of the letters themselves that maintains the Trustworthy, Reliable, & Intelligent connotation, but looks a bit more sophisticated? My concern with this one is that someone might think we made it ourselves by picking a standard font, and adding the two gray lines. #3 Graphical element is much too much of the area of the whole logo. The graphical element is too whimsical. We would prefer a wordmark style of logo.
#34 Thanks for acting on the feedback regarding applying creativity to the form of the letters themselves. But, I'm having difficulty in understanding how the stylized "v" connotes Trustworthiness, Reliability, or Intelligence.
#21 & 22 These fonts don't seem as Trustworthy, Reliable, and Intelligent as your #2.
Congratulations on being one of our top five. We've appreciated the effort and wonderful designs you've produced so far.
As we look at all the submissions across our top five, our main thought is the font selection and/or letter forms may not be as simple/classic as is appropriate for a hedge fund. Below are logos from three existing funds that we think capture this simple/classic look and feel, but we are open to other ideas you might have.
#181 is really nice. Can you try some minor variations on this one? Perhaps some other similar fonts? Any other minor variations you think might be appropriate for what we are trying to communicate?
#182 is also really nice. Can you try some minor variations on this one? Perhaps the font for "Capital" could be larger? Perhaps the font for "Capital" could be darker? Perhaps some other similar fonts? Any other minor variations you think might be appropriate for what we are trying to communicate?
Thanks for these great designs. For this last iteration, we are not looking for any big changes, just some minor tweaks before we make the final selection.
#181 still seems really good. Could try some fonts that are a bit more heavy or bold?
