General feedback. We prefer to have a design that is more of the Wordmark style (like amazon.com, Microsoft, Dell, FedEx, Prada), which has less emphasis on the graphical element(s). It would be good to see your great creative approach applied to the form of the letters themselves.
Specific feedback. #1 The graphical element is much too much of the area of the whole logo. #4 The graphical element is too much of the area of the whole logo. #5 The graphical element is much too much of the area of the whole logo. The graphical element is bit too whimsical. #6 The graphical element is much too much of the area of the whole logo. #7, 8, 9, 10 & 18 The graphical element is more reasonable fraction of the total area of the logo. We'd still prefer something that was more of the wordmark style. #11, 12, 13, 19 & 20 Graphical element is reasonable size, but too whimsical. We'd still prefer something that was more of the wordmark style. #14, 15, 16 & 17 Graphical element is much too much of the area of the whole logo. The graphical element is too whimsical.
Congratulations on being one of our top five. We've appreciated the effort and wonderful designs you've produced so far.
As we look at all the submissions across our top five, our main thought is the font selection and/or letter forms may not be as simple/classic as is appropriate for a hedge fund. Below are logos from three existing funds that we think capture this simple/classic look and feel, but we are open to other ideas you might have.
#205 is really nice. Could you try removing the extension from the "A" in "Capital"? I think that could make the whole logo look more solid. Perhaps you could try some other minor variations on this logo, like making the font for "capital" be darker
Thanks for these great designs. For this last iteration, we are not looking for any big changes, just some minor tweaks before we make the final selection.
#223 seems really good. Could try making "capital" a bit larger, and/or a bit darker?
