Thanks Steve, I had sent a private message to you, do check. If you have downloaded the files and are satisfied. I request you to please click the approve button to end the process here..
Hi Dennis,
I saw that you sent the logos. Thank you. I have to run out of town for a memorial service, so I just wanted to give you a heads up that I'll take a look at it in a day or so in case you don't hear from me.
Thanks again,
Steve
Can you please double-check? Maybe I'm crazy, but it looks a little thinner than the google font, and I'd like it to feel as substantial as possible at a small size...and the drop shadow made it look blurry.
Hi Dennis,
We like this version much better b/c the gradient in the font doesn't transfer well. However, we like the sunburst from the grayscale version better b/c it is more pronounced. Can we get that sunburst on this text?
Hi Dennis,
We like this! Can we see versions that are just black and white and greyscale to see what it would look like if it were printed without color? Also, can we see a version without color on a black background?
It would be nice if you can tell what kind of sun you are thinking or you can share any image or link of the sun you like. I think that would be really helpful.
Ok, we're getting close. We like this version. The steps are nice, but we're a little concerned it might make people think of the '12 steps' for Alcoholics Anonymous. Anyway, can we see this with the original sun, and a few new suns?
Hi Dennis,
Hopefully we're not driving you crazy...there are just a lot of variables. Anyway...the drop shadow makes the text look blurry at small sizes, so we're ditching it. We like the purple text, but can you make the gradient more pronounced in this version? We also like the blue, but are still deciding between the stairs and the ladder, so can we see that variation as well?
It's really hard to see things at this size... Anyway, can you offset the shadow a little more? I think it is easier to see on the rocket example. What do you think of it?
Hi Dennis,
We prefer the other sun but the gradation is interesting (but want to keep seeing things with and without it). Can we see a drop shadow like the one on the 'Rocket' logo that we use as a reference logo in the contest description? That might be nice.
Hi Dennis, Of these versions, we like this sun the best. Totally open to seeing more... As for the gradation, it is too subtle and difficult to see. Thanks!
Thanks for selecting my design as a finalist. I have done the different sun bursts which give a feeling of celebration as suggested, also added some effects to the text and ladders, please check #208, #209 and #210. Looking forward to your feedback on these...
Hi IdeazDen,
Congrats on being our finalist! So, now we'd like to really see lots of variations. We're still debating between the ladder vs. the stairs. We like the font.
We like the sun concept. So far we prefer the original one, but still think we'd like more suns. The sun should evoke celebration, achievement but not religion or spirituality. One person commented that the steps and the newer sun looked like a Mayan Temple.
Here are some things we see in your other work that we'd like to see in some variations - dimensionality (via glow effect, or shadow or depth etc...).
Colors - We feel we'll most likely stay with the cool colors you've been using, but would like to see a lot of variation including some warm options. Really excited to see this! Thanks for all your energy!
A cloud makes it seem like it is going to rain. Another logo with clouds is more about the light breaking through the clouds and is meant to be uplifting... Your logo doesn't need to go in that direction.
That's kinda cool too! I'm going to have to get back to you in 4 hours or so b/c my coworker had to step out for a while. Like that you're playing around with it!
Yes! We like how this matches the tonality and thickness of the other letters. The others make the eye stop too much when they hit the ladder. Now, can we see some different sun options?
We like:
Roboto Black 900
Raleway Extra Bold 800
Josephin Sans Bold 700
Cabin Condensed Bold 700
Rosario Bold 700
Sirin Stencil Regular 400 (just for something very different...)
Hi IdeazDen,
Conceptually we like the idea of the green because of what it signifies, but we're not sure we like the way it goes with the blue. Can we see some other options? Also, love the sun. It shows positivity and achievement. I know you did the star before. Anything else you can think of? Thanks!
I can understand that it might throw off the verticality of the ladder if you go with italics. Can you play around with different fonts then just to see what that could look like?
I'm not sure the colored rungs work, because the top rungs should be green and the bottom should be red since the idea is that someone is climbing and improving. If we reverse it, then we should keep the other letters all the same color (maybe the dark blue). It'll make it pop more.
Ok. That's nice. For the red, yellow, green, we were thinking of that for a traffic light motif... We like the idea of having something at the top, but the star makes it look like a christmas tree. Also, what would it look like if the font was italicized to give more of a sense of action?
Hi IdeazDen,
If we take this in another direction where the lines are rungs on a ladder or steps, could you do something with that? Or what about somehow making the E's red, yellow and green lights?
Maybe you misunderstood what I meant by the suture holes. I was suggesting making the shape of the sutures less round at the end or just straight like a piece of thread. The dots can go.
Ok. I see. Can we make the wound less prominent. We're still concerned it may be a little to graphic. Also, can we see a version with puncture holes on the ends of the stitches?
We prefer this to the more open one but we're still not sure about showing a wound at all. Could you also make the sutures more little stitches with cross hatching?
I see. We're intrigued by the suture idea but the wound is a little too much. Is there a way to use the sutures on the letters so they're somehow being stitched back together? That could be interesting.
Hi IdeazDen,
Thanks for submitting. We like that there's some dimensionality, but want to stay away from lotus leaves, upraised arms and other common iconography. Keep them coming though!

Good idea with the sun. Can we see the text as a more navy blue and italics? Can we also see the ladder steps as all green?
