I should mention (though maybe it's too late) that I really liked the reflection component in this one a lot. Others liked that component too, but felt the rolling hills resembled like a submersed animal such as a hippo. Also we don't have a lot of elevation changes in much of our District. If you have any other 'reflection' ideas, perhaps with an abstract tree or residential home, with emphasis on the water side of the reflection, I'd be open to seeing it. Just an idea...
I asked to extend the contest by a couple hours and I got a full day. You gave us a ton of shapes to choose from, but if you're interested, I'd ask what else you might have that would be recognizable at small scales as well? The group felt this shape was intriguing and unique, but it felt like a record or CD. They thought the details would be lost at a small scale or if an application called for grayscale.
grafismo,
There were some incredibly strong and visually stunning design variations that came in from you at the end of this tournament. Many people argued strongly for your designs. Ultimately the group majority voted to work with a different designer. Thank you so much for your time. I hope these designs strengthen your portfolio.
Yes, sure. I'll work it out briefly keeping a clean message. Also thinking about further application in small sizes, monochrome version, etc.
Thanks for your feedback!
Hi! The group had a great reaction to your designs. They are clean, attractive, have great color/gradient and thought. We don't want to clutter this one up, but were wondering if we could add subtle elements to the green and blue sides, somewhat like you did in the others. Perhaps in the green, a leaf (like #44) or wispy prairie grasses, and in the blue, a wave (no raindrops, please).
