I really like where this is headed. The mark itself doesn't really communicate rain or growth, although I like it. I'm not sure how to fix that but wanted you to get my feedback.
it actually does. There are droplets of rain falling on an organic dynamic form that is growing (the swirl). At least that is what I wanted to portray. I will work on different designs in this direction. The most important thing is not to be literal about rain (it has nothing to do with what your business does, more of a metaphor). The most important things are for the mark to be unique and memorable.
Good explanation. I really do like the design and think a little more direct may require less explanation. It's that hard balance between art and marketing. :(
So I thought of something else. Since rain can also have a negative connotation when illustrated by itself and not falling on something that is growing, I made an original concept of rain raising from a cloud rather than falling. It has an upward motion which suggests growth.
Just as an advice, you can't have a logo that shows rain in such an aggressive way, it has a negative meaning.
The advantage of a standalone mark (icon) is that it can be used on its own on business cards, as a favicon, or on different printed materials as a watermark or on badges.
