#164 I like this original concept very much. Good work. I like the boldness and simplicity of the direct visual message. Well done! Could you try a simpler font for text line 1 that would be more readable from a distance. (See comments below for more explanantion.)
#165 I like the graphic very much. The font of text line 1, "Psychiatric Wellness Center" has an exotic and artistic flavor which is interesting. A friend has pointed out to me that this is a bit hard to read from a distance. The ease of reading text line 1 is really important becuase this font will be used eventually on website design for this business, signs for the rooms in the Center etc.
Suggestions: 1) #165 Please explore some fonts for text line 1 which are easier to read from a distance. This means ,unfortunately, that the font will be more simple and upright than many of the fancier fonts
2) #165 Please create a "stacked version" of 1) with the word "Psychiatric" centered over the "Wellness Center" (like the orientation of the text lines in your entry #167.
#166, #167, #169. #170 & # 171 are all clever explorations of this theme of empowering people to work together to transform their lives and develop new positive parts of their personalities.
Thank you for your creative contributions to this logo tournament.
Hi Dr.Tom. Thanks so much for the positive feedbacks. Not only me, but for the rest of the designers who participated in your contest. Really appreciated it! Sorry if I didn't leave any descriptions behind my design earlier, so let me do it now. All my entries didn't emphasized on the lotus symbol alone. I conjured them into something more meaningful.
#164 : I agree this one is very unique, visually & conceptually. I created a generic symbol of lotus with multiple meanings. Lotus conveys the idea of hope, growth and safety (like how the additional info you given in your brief). Inside the lotus, there's a symbol of heart that merged with the lotus to show unity & power. Heart presents care & love. Very much highlighting the idea of "wellness". So visually, you can see a lotus & heart.
#165 : This one is almost resemblance to #164. I want to show the act of "uplifting & awakening" mode in this entry. Visually, you can see the people (Children, Adolescents & Adults) risen up from the lotus. It shows positive ways of living and learning. A breakthrough from emotional challenges, losses and trauma.
I shall look for suitable fonts that goes well with the logo. Will create the revisions as per requested.
Hi Dr.Tom. Submitted some entries per requested. Changed the font into something more readable from the distance. I got serif & sans serif font for you to review. If you need any changes, just let me know. Thank you!
Hi Dr.Tom. Thanks for the response... I was thinking alot about your contest, so today I decided to develop more design for you to review. Hope those meant something for you. For #250 : Simple lotus, with element of water. To insure balance and harmony. #252 : Instead of portray the lotus flower. I choose the lotus leaves as the substitute. Something different for you. #255 : A rectangular is to present the idea of window - "look for a better positive way of living and learning"
See #257 for the clearer yellow. Additional info : The swoosh underneath the lotus is to portray the element of water. At the same time, could be a hand (abstract). So visually it says.. "A hope is in your hand"
