Discussion

In these last two entries that I have just submitted, there is only a subtle difference between the two and that is where the 'Innovative Printing Solution' is in the logo. This logo should represent your company well. The colors catch the eye like they are supposed to and I used triangles because it is out of the norm and also draws the eye in for a closer look (almost like giving your logo a second look). The dot in the eye is alsoan attractive addition to the font itself (it is 3D instead of flat), which better attracts the eye to your logo.

Please give me feedback on these two designs so that I may better design any entered in the near future.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Dave Benner

I put some of my colored pencils around in a circle and then took a photo of it, then made it into a vector image for this design. 'Print' is a gradient of Cyan and Magenta, 'Graphix' is a gradient of Yellow and Black (CMYK). 'Innovative Printing Solution' is in Red, Green, and Blue (RGB). The pencils are washed out so they do not dominate this logo, only the center is in full color so as to be able to know exactly what it is without having to squint.

Thanks again,

This is exactly like the last entry except that the full colored pencil part has been feathered into fading into the rest of the pencil that is faintly there.

I thought that you might want to see this one with grey and black ink for the name to make it a bit more readable.

Thanks,

I will be submitting other variations as well.

Hello again;

First off, please accept my appologies! I am resubmitting this design, because a moderator mistakingly removed my entry due to background issues (the colored pencils). The rules state that nothing can go directly to the edge, that we need to leave a space so the site looks clean. Well, the pencils are so light, he did not realize that they do not go to the edge and asked me to resubmit my entry to you, since he cannot reinstate the one that he had removed.

Sorry for any inconveinience, and I will be entering your contest in the near future. I was put on stand by until this matter was resolved.

Thanks again for your time and understanding,

Here are some with a diffused glass look to them. I ended removing my pencils because it seems that the Mods have a problem with me using it, although I notice that they are okay with others using the pencil motif!

Oh well, like I said I would continue to enter with the other design since they had a big problem with pencils.

Thanks again,

Heres a whole new image that has a diffused glass look to it, also notice that I used a different font that relates better to the printing business. Feedback would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Here is the same image again, but with a different glass look to it. The butterfly trail has the CMYK colors in it as it relates to the printing business.

Thanks,

I know that the butterfly is not exactly masculine to most people, but it does represent the phases that nature takes and therefore I thought that it could represent the phases of printint for your company. Did the glass look to it as well for you. Or I could change the colors in the butterfly for you if the current ones don't fit the bill. Just let me know please.

Thank you,

Dave Benner

PS - I am trying to stay away from the overly used dye splotches and circles as you probably have seen in many different logos, more so with the printing companies. I am doing this, because it seems that you want to set yourself apart from the rest of the pack and be top dog (which every business should strive to do).

I have changed the color in the stroke a little on this one and I have added a paint brush which is a little bit more masculine. I will submit another with the CMYK for the paint stroke.

Thanks again,

I like the paint brush better!

I changed the pen stroke to ink droplets instead crashing into a puddle. The ink drops are slightly glassified and the puddle is more glassified for the glass effect that you like. The text 'Innovative Printing Solutions' is stepped to follow with the angle of the puddle of blue ink.

Feedback if you please.

As always, thank you for your time and consideration,

Same as previous entry, but, with text 'Innovative Printing Solutions' in line under the company name.

Thanks again,

I moved the droplets and made them slightly larger and smaller than before to look more realistic.

Just to show you what else that can be done, this may be a bit congested, but that can be fixed a little bit later also.

Thanks,
