Discussion

I like the colors in log #7; however, logo # 7 and #6 look too literal. I am looking for something that is more abstract. I would like to stay away from hands and if an artist want to incorporate it in the logo, it has to be in an abstract way. Also, I do not like the font used to write "Potter's Hands." I would advise the artist to also provide various iteration of a logo with different color schemes and fonts.
Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback. After having studied for second time all of the information listed I tried a new concept based on the the colors used in my previous logos. In case it has a potential or want to see any revisions please let me know.

Hart, I really like the new design, especially #18. I think we are on to something extremely exciting. Here is my feedback:
- I like the color scheme; however, I wonder how the logo would look like if we change the color green to another color. Just for the sake of experiencing.
- I like the idea of having some kind of emblem associated with the name. My interpretation of the emblem is of a sunrise, combined with some kind of pathway or road--which I like very much by the way. However, what does the bottom green part of the emblem symbolize? what did you have in mind? I am just trying to better understand the inspiration behind it so i can better guide you. The reason why I am pausing a bit on the bottom green of the emblem is because when combined with the road imagery, it looks like the letter "D." I was wondering if there is a way that the letter could match the first letters in the phrase "Potter's Hands" instead or if it's too difficult to make it look like the letter "P" as in Potter.
- There should be an apostrophe between Potter and the letter s. It 's supposed to be "Potter's"
- Now for the words "Potter's Hands," can you make them aligned with the emblem and make the letter arrangement the emblem look like a rectangle. I don't like the space between the green part of the emblem and the word "hands."
- Also, please create the logo without the tag line "Create the next generation of leader in Haiti."

That's all I have for you Hart. Great job on the logo. I really like the first draft.

Thanks!

Hello, your intepretation is quite on the right way, I was heavily inluenced by the top three things to communicate, when the requested thing is about "new way of doing things", "empowerment", "rising higher " and it's a non profit company, then what comes to me is such kind of view. In other words, a new day rising and a pathway someone passionate should take in order to get there even if it's a long way. An interpretation could be "the work for development is not an easy thing but in the end it will be achieved ".
So, currently I am working on the revisions and will submit the new ones as soon as possible.

I tried to make pathway looks like a "P" in #38, #37 #36 are on a rectagular arrangement as requested also, made some color variations so as you are able to see the difference on the colors. #36 is on a gray/blue basis this way looks more serious and safe than the others. Waiting for your new comments.

Hi Hart, thanks for the new entries; however, #18 is still my favorite. Let's do the following:
- Keep the color of the emblem as is--orange and green
- Keep the bottom of the emblem looking like the letter "D" as in Development
- Align the words Potter's and Hands with the emblem so the entire logo looks like a rectangle
- I would like to explore the possibility of writing the words Potter's and Hands with the colors of the emblem--green and orange. It may or may not work. If it doesn't work, we can revert back to the two shades of the orange--the current color
- Delete the tag line "Create the next generation of leaders..."
- Put the apostrophe between the "r" and "s" in the word Potter's

Thank you Hart!

Hart,
I like the color combo of #39. They look more vibrant. Also, I like the fact that the words Potter's and Hands are perfectly aligned. However, can we capitalize the first letter in the word "Hands?" currently, it is in lower case.
Thanks you!

Hi Hart,
I had some feedback from some friends today about the logo. Will it be possible to change the green color into blue? There are different shades of blue. Maybe we can try a dark blue and a light blue to see how it looks. Also, I wonder what the logo would look like if we change the color combination into baby blue and green. I don't know the name of the green that I have in mind, but it is a light green that is a bit yellowish.
Thank you!

Hart,
I just wanted to make sure you saw the feedback I sent last night on entry #43 since the tournament is getting to an end. I need you to play with the colors a bit to see how the logo will look like. Please try the following:
- change the color green into blue. please try a dark blue and a lighter blue shades
- create the same logo in blue in green. The blue should be some kind of sky blue and the green must be a paler green with a bit of yellow. I don't know how that green is called but it is much lighter than the current one.
- create the same logo with the same color--orange and green. however, this time the green needs to have less blue or black in it. I am looking for a green that is brighter that reminds more of spring.
Thank you Hart!

Thank you Hart. The first one is still my favorite, #43. I still would like to have a more vibrant, yet lighter green. The one we have currently has too much blue. Even the the new logos you've provided did not have the shade of green that I am looking for. I wish I knew the name of the green color; it's kind of a leafy color that is not extremely dark. There is one of the logos that has the color green that I am looking, #85 and # 64. However, I don't know if you will be able to see them because they are from another artist.
Thanks!

So, I tried a variety of leafy/veg green colors, all of them are into very liitle percentage in blue/black. Some have vibrant shades, is any of them close to what we re looking for?

Hart, thank you for your hard work. Since you are the winner of the contest, would you please make sure of the follow:
- that there is not a lot of white space around the logo
- to provide 1) a copy of the full logo that includes the emblem and words; 2) another copy that only have the emblem WITHOUT the wordS.
- if you could send the exact color and font specifications, I would greatly appreciate it.
