Discussion

Here is my design. I used simple shapes to create the isotype of the ping pong ball with a glass, creating the effect of figure and ground, this gives you a unique and very simple too easy to remember.

If you have comments, please let me know.

Greetings. Daniel.

I like the designs, but it throws me off a bit that the ping pong ball appears larger than the cup. It almost resembles a cup flying in front of the moon. Keep experimenting with the black and red backgrounds, I like that aspect.

Check out the image I included in the contest brief. It'll show you the right cup/ball size ratio.

On entry 40, can you get rid of the rings around the cup and add a motion tail to the ball?

Hi Colin. sorry for my delay, I had a little problem.

Here are other designs, with the change required, I added a ripple on the ball.

If you have comments, please let me know. Greetings. Daniel.

I like 59, but can you try different kinds of motion tails from the same direction? I'd like a different look for the tail, but I like the rest of the design.

63 is my first choice now, but could you do some different variations on the fire tail?

Hi Daniel,

I think I have only one more change I'd like to see made: I like 69 the most, but could you rotate the ball and flame clockwise so that the ball is flying into the cup at a flatter angle?

Thanks, and good work.

Also, please make one without the red outline on the lettering (like #41), just for comparison purposes.

Thanks!

Clockwise is the other direction. The ball should be travelling from right to left. Please amend the latest batch of designs to reflect that.

I'm looking for something like pp.jpg and pp2.jpg that I've uploaded in the contest brief. I just wanted the ball to be rotated clockwise slightly. Please make new designs similar to the two I've included, with and without the red outline on the text.

Here is my design, with the required change. The ball to the right with and without red border.

If you have comments, please let me know.

Greetings. Daniel.
