We have narrowed down your submissions to the one that we like most. We would like to see you further evolve this design to see where your thoughts and ideas go.
Additionally we would like to see additional new ideas and concepts from you. Please feel free to think abstract and creatively as you desire.
I recommend focusing on designs and ideas which convey "a cool very desirable place to live, one that is stylish and catering to young professionals, in their 20s/30s"
Really like the recent additional entries. Some cool concepts for sure.
Entry #169 I really like. As it combines the tree and building into a single image without it being two separate concepts. Nice. Could you continue to play with this a bit more? Not sure what is possible, and or what will take it too far, or take away from the simplicity of the idea. But one idea is to make it multiple houses side by side. In the same scale. Maybe with the word plum sitting in front of the houses. See the links to the houses and architectural styles that I sent out to the group yesterday. It may give you ideas for how the lines for the buildings could look.
As for entry #167, like this one as well. Keys surrounding a window. Cool. Dont have specific feedback, except to maybe continue to play with the concept. different colors, different font choices, maybe evolve the image a bit more.
Thanks for the most recent revisions. Very nice progression. On entry #186, the addition of the roofline and and a second building is nice. I wondering if it is feasible to fit in like 5-8 structures in the image? I think the only way to do this is to put the word plum in front of the structures. Maybe in white, like the tree is, with portions of the houses being visible where in between the letters. What are your thoughts? Also like the teal color choice. And I like the version where you have the houses teal to differentiate it. I am having a hard time deciding between entry #186 and #185. Both good concepts. I think I like the font on #185 better than #186.
Also ... with #224, like this one, but do you think it is possible to reduce the size of the tree a little? So it fits more in the scale of the link I sent for plum trees (above)?
Wanted to give you a bit of feedback as we move into the top 5 phase.
First of all, really like entries you have submitted and how easy it has been to exchange feedback. I also have reviewed your other contest entries and very much liked your other work as well. Which gives me the confidence you will help us get to the end result we are trying for.
With that in mind ...
For now, I wouldnt spend any more time on the direction with Entry #185
Also I moved #186 out because I am not sure it is working but I still want to try and evolve this idea .... So with that in mind ... we like the concept of a building skyline or streetscape outline. See the post i submitted with google links of the neighborhoods our buildings are in.
We are not necessarily looking for something in the skyline that represents Los Angeles. But more of the feeling that you are on a neighborhood street, with several buildings side by side. Hard to do while keeping it simplistic and clean ... but if you have ever walked down an old street, where the houses and buildings have been there forever. Some streets just feel good. They feel inviting. There is some sort of good vibe. This happens a lot when you walk in old cities in europe for example, cause they have been there so long. Our apartments are in areas like this in various parts of los angeles. Would love for you to take a stab at this direction.
Apologies for not having provided any feedback in past few days. I have been away from work, due to holiday vacation. I hope you have been well!
Now that I am back, I am wrapping up the contest and wanted to give you final feedback on all your entries.
Really appreciated working with you and getting to see all of your creative ideas for our logo. There was some good creative directions. At the end of the day, the Entries which stood out to me are Entries #365, #395, and #259.
I also ranked a few other entries which stood out to me, #280, #186, and #185.
Thanks again for all your hard work and creativity!
Thank you for the offer. I am very interested, but we're talking about this after your contest complete, because if we are talking right now would violate the rules in LT.
