Hi Ebonk,
I was hoping to hear back from you based on my last feedback but never did. In the last 24 hours the direction of my thinking for the ideal logo has changed somewhat. As a result I started going back thru all the submissions and came across yours, and realized I hadnt heard back from you. I looked back thru the feedback, and felt that maybe I gave you some bad feedback or gave you a bad impression of me. I also went thru your work again, and remembered again how much I liked your portfolio.
We like the concept of a building skyline or streetscape outline. In your portfolio, you did a winning design for Distinctive Stores which caught my eye, as it is in this new direction. See the post i submitted with google links of the neighborhoods our buildings are in.
We are not necessarily looking for something in the skyline that represents Los Angeles. But more of the feeling that you are on a neighborhood street, with several buildings side by side. Hard to do while keeping it simplistic and clean with some sense of a luxury and stylish feeling ... but if you have ever walked down an old street, where the houses and buildings have been there forever. Some streets just feel good. They feel inviting. There is some sort of good vibe. This happens a lot when you walk in old cities in europe for example, cause they have been there so long. Our apartments are in areas like this in various parts of los angeles. The neighborhoods we are in are old, so you will see a building that is 80 years old, and then the next building is very modern, and then the next is a house for a single family, and the building next door is a large apartment building. Would be great if you could play with different building styles to try to accomplish this feeling?
Would you be interested in making another attempt at this contest? Would be great if you would.
Thanks
Jake
