Thanks for your submissions! I like the concept of a tree, not sure it needs to be so literal though as in entry #23 And Entry #24 might be better if it was simplified.
entry #32 is interesting. My son said it has a 70's feel, it is the only one he likes so far. Wonder how it would look with a green background color rather than peach color.
ok - guess retro is in? I was trying for a different approach... will also look at other tree options... where exactly are you in So cal? I am in Northern CA - but my sister lives in Irvine...
interesting... my husband grew up in the Pasadena area.... I think roses but guess that is a bit overdone.
will think on more ideas... your directional feedback helps.
Business Builders is a promotional products company so I think about how it might look on a welcome matt or a flag or a coffee mug when I set up a design.
We have buildings in other nearby cities. which is probably why Roses didnt come to mind.
Plum came from the following three things:
1. Wanted something easy to say and remember. It started as Plum Property Management. And my wife didnt like it. Too boring. She changed it to Plum Living. 2. My wife likes muscle cars. And specifically wants a plum purple dodge challenger. The only way I may ever be able to afford a classic restored car like this is to put a sign on the door that has the property management company name on it, so I can write it off as a business expense. 3. I like the color purple. Always have.
Agree with the promotional concept. But the logo will appear on signs at the properties. For rent signs or Managed By signs. logo will also go on t-shirts for all employees, and likely fliers, business cards, post cards, and our website.
Thinking about the houses idea in entry #196. Realizing that the issue we have this entry is that there are too many colors. Maybe if it was simplified. With just an outline, and solid colors, multiple colors. Can you play with this concept a bit more?
Thanks for the updates to the entries. Not feeling these for some reason.
we like the concept of a building skyline or streetscape outline. See the post i submitted with google links of the neighborhoods our buildings are in.
We are not necessarily looking for something in the skyline that represents Los Angeles. But more of the feeling that you are on a neighborhood street, with several buildings side by side. Hard to do while keeping it simplistic and clean ... but if you have ever walked down an old street, where the houses and buildings have been there forever. Some streets just feel good. They feel inviting. There is some sort of good vibe. This happens a lot when you walk in old cities in europe for example, cause they have been there so long. Our apartments are in areas like this in various parts of los angeles. Would love for you to take a stab at this direction. The image doesnt need to be a strict literal representation, can be abstract.
Not sure why, but for some reason I dont get this feeling with your depiction of the houses. Maybe more abstract, with less details on the houses, maybe if they were side by side to feel more like a street, not sure.
