Entries 1 and 2 have best initial impact with bold color scheme. Black adds to impact, but also creates issues with black path running from oil derrick, which can create images of pollution, etc. Like how name is written. Not wild about confining image in a box or triangle.
So sorry about this. It didn't even occur to me at the time what that black path might represent.
I'd like to continue to develop this concept for you though, although I won't be able to do much unless you can rank me in the top 5 over the next 3 days.
Not sure if you planned to make any changes, but, if so, I'd like to see something with the name New or Path in a different color, and perhaps even with the line separating NewPath from Energy Capital in a different color, which ties back to the image. We're trying to wind this down today.
One of my colleagues also made the following comments:
Maybe a logo incorporating a transformation of black oil to clean blue gas would capture the “New Path” concept better. Secondary themes to consider include improved environment, power generation, cost savings, American energy independence and job creation.
