Great use of concept of path. Needs to be more bold. Don't particularly care for pretty simple box shape. Can this concept be made a bit more elegant? Perhaps different color scheme? Like name in black with initial caps.

Would like to see word "Path" in a different color, perhaps blue or green or ? something else that would make it a bit less traditional looking. Also, might be interesting to open up the box as it were and let the logo flow out a bit more, although still important to keep it crisp and sharp. A little shading perhaps would give it more of a bold, professional feel.

Might be interesting to simply remove the box border, and let the logo fade into the surroundings.

Let me know if this is way off the mark or if you want to stick with a separate icon. Thanks

Sorry. Must have missed the changes. This design is still ranked first. We would like to button this up soon. I would like to see the name with the word New or the word Path in a different color that ties back to the image.

One of my colleagues made the following comments that you may want to consider as we finalize a design:

Maybe a logo incorporating a transformation of black oil to clean blue gas would capture the “New Path” concept better. Secondary themes to consider include improved environment, power generation, cost savings, American energy independence and job creation. .

I'll see what I can come up with and post some new submissions shortly. Thanks

Here's the original and a variation with the gas/oil theme added in different color combos with and without a border. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Thank you for your new designs. Can you please submit a few new versions for us to look at. We would like to see the following: Just like the number 1 rank logo but without the black border around the logo. Then also 4 other submissions just like above but change the NewPath colors to blue (new), blue (path), green (new) and green (path). Thanks for your time and patience.

Thank you. Two quick comments:

First, we are concerned that the sun image on 146 and others like it may cause people to think of solar power rather than natural gas.

Second, while we like the flame idea in place of the sun, the black tear drop shape, which we understand is likely a play on black oil, i.e., an oil drop, still looks too much like an "eye". We are concerned that folks who haven't been part of this process, and don't know that we're talking about moving from dirty oil to clean burning natural gas, will simply not get it.

Is there a way to do the flame differently without the black, just leaving the concept of a flame? First, maybe just removing the black tear drop is enough. Perhaps something with some type of outline around the flame to better distringuish it, or maybe a little blue within the flame instead?

Alternatively, is there a way to do the sun without all of the rays shining off, which again, creates the impression of solar power instead of gas.

After further consideration, maybe just removing the black, and shading the blue within the flame, would be sufficient.
