I like the abstract shape--it looks a bit like an ear. I find the logo very attractive but perhaps a bit too abstract. The versions you did with the earplug silhouette are interesting too. Can you make this a little more descriptive/less abstract while still preserving the design integrity you started with?

Okay, here's what we're looking for from here:

1) Great type treatment. Special tweaks to the font are interesting, and yet we accept that you may prefer a straightforward type treatment. Please keep this in mind.
2) Great use of the tagline.
3) An icon/mark that could be used stand-alone. Our current guy with a hard hat is great for the consumer, and a PF combination would be more corporate. We may eventually need both.
4) Great color. We're looking for color combinations that mean "safety". We know we can explore this further once the logo is finished, but any direction now would be appreciated.

#55 is a nice, clean design. It almost seems like it doesn't need a separate mark. That said, would you be willing to try one?
